Jax Taylor and Brittany Cartwright are shutting down the cheating allegations made on this week’s episode of Vanderpump Rules.
The estranged couple are denying that cheating is reason behind their split after rumors about their relationship were the topic of discussion on a recent episode of Vanderpump Rules.
On Tuesday’s episode of Vanderpump Rules, several cast members alleged that Jax Taylor had cheated on his wife of almost five years.
Lala Kent, Katie Maloney, and Scheana Shay claimed the 44-year-old father of one was still “running around town.”
However, on the Vanderpump Rules After Show, Jax Taylor pointed the finger at Katie for bringing the rumors to light and stirring the pot.
“Katie loves to f–king just start s–t. That’s what she does,” Jax Taylor told his former best friends, Tom Sandoval and Tom Schwartz on the after show.
“She plays at home and she sees something on her phone on Reddit, and she will start the rumor mill. That’s what she does,” he continued. “She’s spreading all kinds of s–t.”
Apparently the rumors of Jax’s cheating surfaced after he made an appearance at a nightclub in Atlantic City, New Jersey in June 2023. On social media rumors swirled that Jax cheated with a bottle service girl from the event. The gossip was further fueled when a photo of him smiling with another woman from the event started making the rounds on social media.
However, according to Jax it all one big misunderstanding.
“I had a job in Atlantic City. The lady who hires me, she takes pictures with everybody. Any kind of celebrity that comes in takes photos with the person who runs it. That is normal,” he claimed.
On the after show, Brittany Cartwright also cleared Jax’s name. She debunked the rumors and insisted that she only did so after doing an investigation of her own.
“We went and found all the photos [and] figured it out,” she recalled. “It was a girl he was doing a job with, and it was the bar owner’s wife or whatever who was also there. And the husband was there too.”
Despite the cheating rumors being untrue, the former Vanderpump Rules couple weren’t able to make their marriage work.
Brittany Cartwright announced her and Jax’s separation on the February 29 episode of their podcast, When Reality Hits with Jax and Brittany.
“Yes, marriages in general are very hard, and I’ve had a particularly rough year this past year,” the Kentucky native said in the episode.
“Jax and I are taking time apart, and I made the decision to move into another home to take some space for the sake of my mental health.”
The 35-year-old didn’t reveal what led to the split, noting that she “won’t get into too many details because this is still very hard to talk about.”
“I’m taking things one day at a time,” she added. “I don’t know what the future holds, but right now, my focus is on being the best mom to Cruz.”
Since then Brittany has critized Jax for “not really trying” to make their marriage work and fix the issues.
“I’ve asked him for a while to do certain things and nothing has come from that,” she bluntly told TMZ earlier this month.
Brittany and Jax’s marital issues are set to play out during season one of The Valley which premieres on March 19. The series recently resumed filming amid Jax and Brittany separation. Cameras were recently spotted filming Brittany move out of her and Jax’s marital home.
The Vanderpump Rules alums got engaged in June 2018, and the couple said ‘I do’ a little more than a year later in 2019.
They welcomed their son, Cruz, in April 2021.
