Why Kristin Cavallari Believes Her Stepmom ‘Kind of Hated Me’

Destiny’s Child is one of the most iconic girl groups in music history, known for their catchy songs, powerful vocals, and fierce attitude. Comprised of members Beyoncé Knowles, Kelly Rowland, and Michelle Williams, Destiny’s Child rose to fame in the late 1990s and early 2000s and became one of the best-selling girl groups of all time.

The group’s journey to success began in 1997 when they released their self-titled debut album, which spawned hits like “No, No, No” and “With Me Part I.” The album was a commercial success and established Destiny’s Child as a force to be reckoned with in the music industry. However, it was their sophomore album, “The Writing’s on the Wall,” released in 1999, that catapulted them to superstardom.

“The Writing’s on the Wall” featured hit singles like “Say My Name,” “Bills, Bills, Bills,” and “Bug a Boo,” and showcased the group’s unique blend of R&B, pop, and hip-hop. The album went on to sell over 8 million copies worldwide and earned Destiny’s Child their first Grammy Award for Best R&B Performance by a Duo or Group with Vocals for “Say My Name.”

In 2001, Destiny’s Child released their third album, “Survivor,” which solidified their status as one of the most successful girl groups of all time.

Beyoncé’s father, Mathew Knowles is now taking the time to honor the successful girl group for International Women’s Month in a new Instagram post. In the heartfelt message Knowles wrote about how much he appreciates them for their hard work in the music industry and wished for the group to come out of retirement.

“Dear Destiny’s Child,” he shared. “It is hard to believe that it has been almost 25 years since we began this journey this June. You were just young teenagers with a dream to be the best in the world and you accomplished your dream. I thank you for your trust that you gave me to help create and facilitate your amazing journey. I want to acknowledge all the many young artists and dancers from Girls Tyme to Destiny’s Child who were in some way part of the journey as well as the former managers who were there with Girls Tyme before me.”

“Beyoncé, Kelly, and Michelle, on this Women’s Month, I wanted to take a moment to express my admiration for the incredible talent, hard work, and dedication that each of you have poured into your craft. Your relentless pursuit of excellence and unwavering trust in each other have undoubtedly propelled you to become the number one female group of all time.”

“Your music has touched the hearts of millions, inspiring and empowering fans around the world. Your harmonies, performances, and message of strength have left an indelible mark on the music industry and beyond. Through every challenge and triumph, you have stood strong together, embodying the true essence of female empowerment and solidarity. Your resilience and perseverance serve as a beacon of hope and inspiration for women everywhere. I am immensely proud of all that you have achieved individually and collectively. Your legacy will forever live on, continuing to inspire generations to come.”

“Thank you, Beyoncé, Kelly, and Michelle, for your music, your talent, and your unyielding spirit. You are truly legendary. Many have gotten it wrong that Destiny’s Child broke up. No, you were smarter than that and you always knew that one day Destiny’s Child would retire on top!! Hopefully, one day you come out of retirement!!”
