Dr. Terry Dubrow is ready to get back on Ozempic.
After a months-long hiatus from taking the diabetes medication for weight loss, the Botched star and plastic surgeon, 65, feels “overweight and chubby,” and he looks forward to starting to take Ozempic again after an upcoming vacation with his wife, Real Housewives of Orange County cast member Heather Dubrow, 55.
“How am I doing off Ozempic? I’m overweight and chubby,” Terry told E! News on March 14. “There’s more to love, but I’ll tell you something: I’m off it, but I plan on going back on it when it’s appropriate. Like we have a vacation and after that I’ll come back. It’s like the new Botox, Ozempic. I love it. It’s so good.”
Earlier this year, after experiencing “low-grade nausea,” Terry explained that while he decided to get off of the drug for the time being, he thought very highly of the “miracle” drug.
“I thought it was amazing,” he told Page Six. “I didn’t have that much weight to lose. But I wanted to try it because so many of my patients were on it and I wanted to see what it was like when you’re not diabetic and you only have 10 to 15 pounds to lose.”
According to Terry, he stopped taking Ozempic because he wanted to enjoy food.
“I thought, ‘You know what, I kind of want to get my appetite back.’ I want to be able to eat again, ’cause it really took my appetite and all the joy of eating away,” he admitted.
Now that he’s ready to get back on the drug, Heather isn’t thrilled and labeled his plans “silly.”
“Thank god he’s off Ozempic! We didn’t have fun, he wouldn’t eat bread. There was no pasta,” she complained.
As RHOC fans may have seen, Heather faced rumors of potential Ozempic use earlier this year. However, she’s denied using the drug herself.
“I’m not on Ozempic, I just want to put that out there,” Heather stated on the Out & About podcast. “[But] there’s no judgment. I think Ozempic is… Why aren’t we putting it in the water? We can solve the obesity problem.
