Mauricio Umansky‘s separation from Kyle Richards will be addressed on the upcoming second season of his Netflix reality series, Buying Beverly Hills.

Ahead of the show’s premiere later this week, the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills cast member, 53, revealed what fans can expect from the new episodes as he offered an update on his living arrangements with Kyle, 55, and addressed his latest feud with the Hilton family — which was prompted by a sneak peek at the sophomore season.

“It’s definitely happening,” Mauricio confirmed to TMZ of his and Kyle’s impending marriage drama on Buying Beverly Hills on the site of his affordable housing project with Habitat for Humanity and Giveback Homes. “The reality is that when all of that happened and kind of that story dropped, we were all together. We were all in Colorado. We were all in Aspen. We were filming Buying Beverly Hills at the time. The cameras were arriving the next day. Kyle was going to be departing. The cameras were arriving and it was real.”

“It’s as real as it can get. That’s reality TV,” he continued. “And we decided just to be vulnerable and to be open and to allow it to happen on television, and so we hope that the audience can learn from the way that we’re handling what we’re handling. But it’s definitely going to play out on the show.”

Mauricio and Kyle’s separation was confirmed last summer. But despite Kyle’s comments about living separately from Mauricio, he’s not quite ready to pick up and leave their family home.

“It’s a conversation we’re having. I’m not quite there in that process,” he admitted. “We’re in the middle of that conversation, and I think once we figure that out, I’ll definitely be happy to share what that looks like. But at this point, I’m still not ready to share that.”

Moving on to his feud with the Hiltons, which began after he opened up on Buying Beverly Hills about quitting Hilton & Hyland after brother-in-law Rick Hilton, 68, refused to make him a partner, Mauricio said he hadn’t spoken to the family since Paris Hilton, 43, slammed him on X, formerly known as Twitter.

“My father is a consummate gentleman and has always taken the higher road. He would never speak negatively about family — especially in the press,” Paris had written. “Frankly we are all sick of him using the Hilton name every chance he gets to plug his lame show. It is enough already…”

Following the shady message, Mauricio confirmed their estrangement as he insisted he “didn’t mean any harm.”

“Quite honestly, I have not spoken to them ever since, in the last two days since Paris made that comment,” he revealed. “I don’t have any hard feelings, and I certainly don’t feel like I said anything where they should have hard feelings. Hopefully, it’ll just blow over.”

“I’m sad that they’re angry. At the end of the day, I don’t feel like I said anything bad. I just told what happened and the story,” he continued. “At the end of the day, it was two businessmen making two business decisions. Rick made his business decision and I made my business decision, and all I was doing was moving forward and trying to do the best for my family and take care of them and be as successful as possible, and I made a decision and that decision came with risk. It could’ve failed and it could’ve been successful, and so everybody makes decisions in life and then you live with them. I just don’t think it’s that bad. So I’m sorry that they’re hurt, but I hope that goes away soon because family is family, and we should be good.”

Buying Beverly Hills season two begins streaming on Netflix on Friday, March 22.
