The community of Wasco has been left in disbelief as a man has been arrested for a gruesome act following a fatal train collision.

A disturbing video surfaced on social media, showing a man carrying a severed body part believed to belong to a victim of the tragic accident. The Kern County Fire Department was alerted to a train colliding with a person near G and 7th streets in Wasco early Friday in the morning. Tragically, the collision resulted in a fatality, with emergency crews responding swiftly to the scene.

Following the incident, witnesses recounted the chilling sight of the man carrying what appeared to be a severed leg, sending shockwaves through the neighborhood. Some onlookers even told media outlets that they allegedly seen the man “sniffing” or “eating” the leg. The Kern County Sheriff’s Office wasted no time in taking action, announcing the arrest of Resendo Tellez, 27, in connection with the disturbing incident.

Tellez was apprehended shortly after the gruesome act and taken into custody for allegedly tampering with evidence from the scene and mutilating it. Additionally, he faced charges related to outstanding warrants, further deepening the gravity of the situation.

As investigations into the collision continue, the focus remains on uncovering the full extent of the circumstances surrounding the incident. The involvement of BNSF in the investigation underscores the seriousness of the situation and the need for a thorough examination of the events that led to this disturbing turn of events.
