The Real Housewives of Orange County Star Heather Dubrow recently revealed what she did with the cash from the sale of her $55 million home and also revealed how Season 17 of the Real Housewives of Orange County nearly broke her.
Fans of the show will recall that the 54-year-old reality TV star sold her $55 million home and moved to another property. During episode 13 of the season Terry Dubrow, 65, said, “Heather and I have put our blood, sweat, and tears into this house,” adding, “I used to feel like I wanted to be buried in the backyard. I never wanted to leave. I strangely feel like it’s not mine anymore, and I’m absolutely OK with it.”
He expressed his sorrow over the move, saying, “I just want to thank this house in 55 million different ways,” and added mournfully, “I’m gonna miss it very much.” At BravoCon 2023, the actress revealed some details about the recent sale and discussed what the couple did with the money from the hefty sale.
During the BravoCon 2023 panel, The Way We OC It, Heather and her RHOC castmates reflected on season 17. Danny Pellegrino queried Heather about the pricy home sale asking if she had made any “extravagant purchases” from the substantial amount of cash.
Gina Kirschenheiter prompted her RHOC costar to show everyone the huge diamond sparkler Terry had given her. Then Heather opened up about what they really did with the dough.
She explained that the couple was “looking for a new project to do” so they bought a “really cool, iconic house in Beverly Hills.” She added that they were “redoing” the house and that it was “a bit of a project.” In an Instagram post she shared that it was a “legendary home.”
When Danny asked the actress whether she should have informed her castmates about the sale of her house, she adamantly replied, “definitely not.” The ladies, of course, disagreed. They indicated that they had hoped to celebrate with her.
In a separate interview with Us Weekly, the RHOC star intimated that season 17 nearly broke her and that she nearly walked away from it all, again. As a result, saying, “I can’t do this anymore. I’m done.”
“It was so much, and of course we filmed so much. There was more and more and more that wasn’t even shown. So, it definitely took its toll on me.”
Despite the challenges of last season, Heather is back in full force and is currently filming season 18 of the Real Housewives of Orange County.
