Dan Stevens will soon be heading to Las Vegas where he’ll be needed on stage.

The busy actor has been selected to receive CinemaCon‘s Excellence in Acting Award at the official convention of the National Association of Theater Owners. News of the honor comes ahead of a spell that will see Stevens on the big screen in back to back films like Adam Wingard’s Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire for Legendary and Warner Bros. (out March 29), Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett’s Abigail for Universal Pictures (out April 19), and Tilman Singer’s Cuckoo for Neon (out Aug. 9).

Stevens will be honored during the Big Screen Achievement Awards, hosted by official presenting sponsor the Coca-Cola Company inside the Colosseum at Caesars Palace on April 11. The ceremony will also see trophies handed out to Amy Poehler (Vanguard Award), Lupita Nyong’o (Star of the Year), Shawn Levy (Director of the Year) and Joseph Quinn (Breakthrough Performer of the Year Award).

Said CinemaCon managing director Mitch Neuhauser of Stevens: “His dedication to his artistry and his ability to bring complex characters to life with such depth and nuance make him a standout performer. We are honored to recognize his achievements with the CinemaCon Award of Excellence in Acting.”

Stevens began his professional career in 2004 via the touring production of Shakespeare’s As You Like It. He went on to perform on the West End in Tom Stoppard’s Arcadia and in Hay Fever by Noël Coward opposite Peter Bowles and Judi Dench. He made his Broadway debut in 2012 opposite Jessica Chastain and David Strathairn in The Heiress. Stevens’ screen credits include Downton Abbey, the Marvel series Legion, High Maintenance, Guillermo Del Toro’s Cabinet of Curiosities, Gaslit, Welcome to Chippendales, Solar Opposites, The Boy and the Heron, The Rental, The Guest, The Call of the Wild, Beauty and the Beast, Night at the Museum: Secret of the Tomb, I’m Your Man, Marshall, Norman, Permission and A Walk Among the Tombstones.

CinemaCon will be held at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas from April 8-11. The event hosts north of 6,000 motion picture professionals from all corners of the industry including exhibition, distribution, marketing, promotion, equipment and concession areas. The International Cinema Technology Association (ICTA) and National Association of Concessionaires (NAC) are on board as tradeshow partners, with Coca-Cola serving as the official presenting sponsor.
