Ice Spice recently joined forces with Alexander Wang on a campaign for the latest catalog of his eponymous brand, and she will now help him launch it as well.
According to a new press release, the Bronx MC is set to take over New York City next month to unveil the S24 collection of the luxury clothing and accessories company.
“Starting in Times Square, a super-sized inflatable of Ice Spice will drive around NYC for the whole day, offering city-dwellers a look at Alexander Wang’s latest collection and campaign,” the statement reads. “The inflatable will be driven throughout the city, hitting up high-foot traffic areas for all to see.”
The promotion is secluded to take place on April 6.
Earlier this month, the Alexander Wang brand revealed that the 24-year-old rapper will serve as a brand ambassador for their next collection, Nocturna. According to Variety, her campaign served as the first public introduction to the designer’s upcoming offerings as he did not show the collection at the latest New York Fashion Week.
“As an artist, I’m always challenging myself on how I can contribute to culture in a way that drives things forward, and Alexander Wang is a great vehicle for that with this incredibly bold and global campaign,” she said in a statement.
About the collaboration, Wang added: “Ice Spice is such a powerhouse, a cultural touchstone, and a breath of fresh air. Her unapologetic energy magnifies the sharp and austere sensuality of Spring 2024 and leans into our brand codes on a deeper level.”
Soon after, the “Munch” hitmaker shared some behind-the-scenes shots of a photoshoot she did for the aforementioned campaign via Snapchat.
The first photo featured her wearing a vest that exposed her midriff, underwear and nothing else as she faced a mirror while holding her long, yellowish-orange hair.
The caption read: “my fav look from the campaign [kissing lips emoji].
In the second photo, she could be seen posing with her backside facing the camera, over which she wrote: “10/10 aw campaign look.”
