Boys Noize and Rico Nasty have joined forces to release HARDC0RE DR3AMZ, a new three-track EP.
Kicking off the record is “Arintintin,” a hyperactive dance track with a punk edge. Next up is “Vvgina,” a techno-inspired banger with cathartic lyrics exploring heartbreak and the quest for liberation from past relationships.
Rounding out the EP is “H.O.T.,” an unapologetic breakbeat- and hip-hop crossover highlighted by Nasty’s fierce vocals. Accompanying the single is a nostalgic music video featuring camcorder footage and plenty of Y2K fashion, like parachute pants. Check out the video below.
Rico Nasty says she connected with Boys Noize, one of the electronic music industry’s most influential producers, six years ago in 2018. They found themselves in the studio and eventually performed together at the 2024 FriendShip festival.
“Fast forward again, maybe 3-4 years, and we did a couple more sessions. We kept gravitating towards techno dance music,” Nasty said in a statement shared with EDM.com. “He started putting me on to German dance music, and we traded a bunch of songs back and forth. Little by little over a few days, we ended up making three more songs that we really loved and decided we wanted to share with the world. Every session was so much fun and I’m sure that energy is felt across all of these tracks. One of my favorite songs on the project is… all of them. That’s why she is so short!”
