Zac Thompson and Hayden Sherman bring science fiction horror to the anomalous Australian Outback

New from critically acclaimed writer Zac Thompson (Cemetery Kids Don’t Die, Blow Away), visionary artist Hayden Sherman (Dark Spaces: Dungeon, Detective Comics), and letterer Jim Campbell (Monsters Are My Business, Midnite Show), comes Into the Unbeing: Part One, a four-issue eco-horror comic about a group of scientists who can’t resist investigating an unusual discovery in the Australian outback. Suddenly finding themselves trapped in the mouth of a giant, with no direction to go but further in. The issue #1 main cover is by Sherman, with variant covers provided by Matt Lesniewski and Tyler Boss.

Into the Unbeing follows a group of climate scientists working in a remote base camp on the Australian outback when they discover an impossible landform. As they venture inside expecting the unexpected, the titular Unbeing doesn’t disappoint. True to the traditions of cosmic horror, they discover an anomalous environment that defies everything they think they know about the world.

“Hayden and I have been building Into the Unbeing for years now,” says Thompson. “It’s easily the most ambitious comic I’ve ever made. It’s a sprawling adventure into the unknown blending eco-horror, body horror, and my intense fear of getting lost in nature into a new comics experience. Hayden’s rendering of alien landscapes really needs to be seen to be believed. If you’ve ever wanted to get lost in an entirely new world… this is the comic for you.”

Into the Unbeing Part One #1 (of 4) arrives at your local comics retailer on June 12, 2024. Pre-order from your local comic shop now for $3.99.
