There are a ton of actors and characters that are rumored to appear in Marvel’s Deadpool & Wolverine, and today we’ve got another one to add to the long list.
It’s now being reported that Jessica Alba might show up to reprise her Fantastic Four role as Sue Storm in the Marvel movie. But, there’s a little difference in which version of Sue Storm it is. She previously appeared in Fantastic Four and Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer.
According to Hollywood scooper Caleb Williams, the plan is for Alba to reprise her role as Sue Storm/Invisible Woman in Deadpool & Wolverine… as the wife of Earth-838’s Reed Richards/Mister Fantastic!
For those of you who don’t remember, the Earth-838 version of Reed Richard was played by John Krasinski in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness who was murdered by Scarlet Witch. Given that he was killed, it would make sense that there are heroes out in the multiverse wanting to avenge the members of the Illuminati who were killed.
There are going to be so many cameos in this movie that everything and anything is possible, but we’ll just have to wait and see! There also might be some other Fantastic Four characters show up in the movie!
A couple of years ago, Alba talked about what it meant for her to play Sue Storm in the original Fantastic Four movies and the fact that a Latina actress portrayed a character who is depicted as white in the comic books.
Alba said: “Even if you look at the Marvel movies – that’s the biggest driver of fantasy and what’s happening right now in entertainment, because it’s sort of the family thing – it’s still quite Caucasian. I would say I was one of the few back in the day. And it was before Marvel was sold to Disney…but it’s still quite…more of the same.”
The confirmed cast for the movie also includes Hugh Jackman as Wolverine, Emma Corrin as Cassandra Nova, Morena Baccarin and Stefan Kapicic as Vanessa and Colossus, Matthew Macfadyen in a TVA Agent, and Leslie Uggams as Blind Al. They are joined by Brianna Hildebrand and Shioli Kutsuna will also return to the franchise as Negasonic Teenage Warhead and Negasonic Teenage Warhead’s girlfriend Yukio. It was previously confirmed that Jennifer Garner will return as Elektra in the movie. Set photos have also confirmed the likes of Sabretooth, Toad, and Pyro,
Some of the other rumored casting includes Brian Cox as William Striker, Owen Wilson as Mobius, Lewis Tan as Shatterstar, Channing Tatum as Gambit, Taron Edgerton as a different Wolverine, Elizabeth Olsen as Wanda Maximoff, Tara Strong as Miss Minutes, Tom Hiddleston as Loki, Dafne Keen as X-23, Rebecca Romijn as Raven, Julian McMahon as Doctor Doom, Liev Schreiber as Sabertooth, Daniel Radcliffe as Wolverine, Channing Tatum as Gambit, Wesley Snipes as Blade, and Pedro Pascal as Reed Richards. Oh, and most recently Henry Cavill as Spoiler.
In the film, “After facing some professional setbacks while going through a midlife crisis. Wade Wilson decides to officially retire Deadpool and becomes a used car salesman. But when his friends, family, and the whole world are at stake, Deadpool decides to bring his katanas out of retirement. He recruits an unwilling and wary Wolverine to not only fight for their survival, but ultimately, their legacy.”
It’s also explained: “That f–king irresponsible hero Deadpool will change the history of the MCU with Wolverine!?”
Deadpool & Wolverine will hit theaters on July 26th!
