Fallout Season 2 Episode 2 Release Date, Time, Where to Watch

Anthony Mackie has spent the past decade playing Falcon/Sam Wilson in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, which evolved to him taking over the mantle of Captain America from his friend, Steve Rogers (Chris Evans). He is set to return to the role in next year’s Captain America: Brave New World, as well as the two Avengers films that are set to follow.

Right now, Mackie is getting geared up to reprise his role of John Doe, a milkman with amnesia, who must deliver a mysterious package with unknown contents across an apocalyptic United States, in the Peacock series Twisted Metal, based on the popular video game franchise of the same name.

When talking about how the two types of franchises differ in a recent interview, Mackie explained to Radio Times:

“I would say the Marvel thing is completely different, just because it’s such a space of controlled entertainment. Like, there’s only so much you can do. There’s only so much creativity you can bring to the table, because Stan Lee gave us so much content. Whereas with this [Twisted Metal], it was like, ‘There’s a guy and a girl … Go!’ So we were really able to build the world around it.”

He went on to add:

“That’s the hard thing about the Marvel universe. It’s like, you can’t really go outside of the lines of those comic books. You know, when we introduced the Falcon, and the growth of the Falcon to Captain America, all of that had to coincide with what Stan had already gave us. And [Twisted Metal] was more like, ‘Let’s just have fun and figure it out as we go.'”

I can see the upsides and downsides to both. It’s probably a great feeling to be able to have the freedom to play within the role after having to stay so rigid within a source’s material over the past ten years.

We don’t have a release date yet for Season 2 of Twisted Metal, but stay tuned and we will let you know as the project develops.
