Nicki Minaj has shouted out Brooklyn, NY, after enjoying a successful homecoming show during her Pink Friday 2 tour.

The Queens, NY by way of Trinidad rapper took to her Instagram on Friday (April 5) to shout out Kings County and NYC as a whole.

“#GagCityBROOKLYN SHOWED UP & SHOWED TF OUT!!!!!!!!!!!! I am so in love with my city. New York City. Gag City,” she wrote in the caption. “The whole tri-state area was up in there last night and it was all love. We made the ABSOLUTE BEST MEMORIES THAT I WILL CHERISH FOR A LIFETIME!!!!!!!!!

“I remember being so proud & grateful to perform in small clubs. It was the best energy. Signing boobs, etc. Now it’s sold out ARENAS with those SAME supporters who believed in me when I barely believed in myself @ times; right back in my hometown. God is good.”

She also shouted out the rappers who joined her onstage during her homecoming show, including 50 Cent, Tony Yayo, Uncle Murda, and Bobby Shmurda.

Check out the post below.

One rapper who didn’t join Nicki Minaj onstage was Joe Budden — and he recently explained why.

Speaking on his self-titled podcast, Budden revealed that Nicki had reached out to him and asked if he’d perform his hit single “Pump It Up” at her recent show in his home state of New Jersey.

However, the former Slaughterhouse MC — who retired from rap in 2018 — admitted that he wasn’t up to the challenge.

“I thought about it,” he said before one of his co-hosts asks if he still remembers the lyrics to the song.

“It ain’t the words; it’s my body,” he continued. “I gotta go out there and act hype. I ain’t hype no more! I didn’t let Jersey down.”

Despite Joe Budden’s snub, Nicki Minaj’s Pink Friday 2 Tour has seen a string of big-name guests since it began in early March.

Nicki brought out fellow New York rap legend 50 Cent when the tour took over NYC’s Madison Square Garden.

Nicki and 50 performed their Pink Friday 2 collaboration “Beep Beep,” while the G-Unit general also performed hits of his own such as “Candy Shop.”

He also used the appearance to take more shots at Diddy and his ex-girlfriend Daphne Joy, who has been accused of operating as a sex worker for the embattled Bad Boy boss.

While pointing to fans in the crowd and showing them love, 50 said: “And you… and you… even if you’re a little sex worker.”

Fif posted a clip of the moment on Instagram and wrote: “I love you, you and you even if your a little sex workers, love ya it’s all love. The Barbz are out holding it down!”
