Megan Thee Stallion, Latto and GloRilla have all tussled for the twerk title by participating in the “Wanna Be” challenge.

The challenge spawned from Meg and Glo’s new single “Wanna Be,” which is featured on the latter’s new mixtape Ehhthang Ehhthang.

The Houston Hottie kicked off the competition on Sunday (April 7) with a twerk video that she captioned: “IG after dark lol and nobody better not challenge me bc this the best ass on IG [crazy face emoji] or if you think so tag me in your video [crying laughter face emoji] stream WANNA BE.”

Latto followed up the following day with a video that was posted to Meg’s Instagram. The “Cobra” rapper wrote: “Okay we back on IG after dark lol Frennnn I forgot you can throw it like thattt [four heart eyes face emojis] @latto777 #wannabechallenge.”

Glo added her own video, and captioned it: “Dis da fake one ima post da real one tomorrow [crying laughter face emoji] @theestallion.” Check out all three below.

While the track has gone viral thanks to the accompanying twerk craze, fans won’t be able to use the song on TikTok, because of Universal Music Group’s their dispute with the app.

Last week, Glo added her thoughts to the myriad opinions shaping the discourse in the Universal Music Group vs. TikTok dispute.

The Memphis rapper took to Instagram Live to express her frustration at the battle, which resulted in the major label removing all of its artists’ music from the social app following a dispute over royalty payments.

She began: “One thing I’m mad about, y’all…I’m mad ‘cus I can’t use TikTok to promote my shit. I’m made y’all can’t make TikToks to my music, man…I’m mad about that.”

She then shared some thoughts on the shocking earthquake that rocked the New York Tri-State area on April 5.

“My bad for causing them earthquakes ‘cus I hopped up out the bed…and dropped that hot shit and caused y’all two earthquakes. I apologize. New York, I love y’all. My bad. I apologize,” she added.

Glo is far from the only rapper whose work is affected by the standoff between the two music giants.

Drake, Kendrick Lamar, Nicki Minaj and more no longer have their music available on the app.
