Born from the vibrant undercurrents of Southern California’s festival and art scene, the Do LaB has matured from a fledgling idea among three brothers into a pivotal element of the Coachella ethos.

Year after year, the brand reinvents the standard for festival stage design, merging the heart of electronic music with the kind of experiential artistry that can’t help but captivate. The evolution continues in 2024 with another stage design for the ages.

While full color renderings of this year’s design are still under wraps, the scale of inputs to make the the Do LaB stage a reality is impressive in its own right. This year’s innovation unfurls across nine mushroom-esque pods and a forest of cantilevered arms enveloped in vibrant fabric, extending over the festival like a canopy. Each structure, intricately designed with 12 arms, weaves together over 20 miles of thread and fabric to create a 360° sanctuary that pulses with light and sound.

Following in the footsteps of 2023’s “Warrior One” concept, this year’s design by Josh Flemming marks a continuation of the Do LaB’s legacy of pioneering festival stage architecture, a tradition that has begun to ripple through festivals worldwide. As Coachella heralds the commencement of festival season, eyes will be peeled for their latest architectural marvel to see how its innovations will be adopted within the broader global festival circuit, as they have in the past.

The musical offerings on this year’s stage mirror the ingenuity of its structure, with a curated lineup featuring Alesso, Chase & Status, DJ Tennis, Azzecca and Sam Gellaitry, the lattermost of whom was named by EDM.com as one of 2022’s best music producers.
