Just in time for festival season, DJ Snake has tapped Crankdat for an unexpected collaboration, “Big Bang.”
Out now via Interscope Records, “Big Bang” arrives just days before Snake’s performance at Coachella’s Sahara stage. While the French superstar doesn’t often cross into the unrelenting realms of dubstep, he teamed up with Crankdat, a rising superstar in the world of bass music, for a dip into the heavier side of electronic.
Like any good festival anthem, the track opens up with a dramatic introduction replete with grinding synths, sirens and epic strings. After warming up, the duo unleashes an explosive bass drop with screeching leads and spring-loaded drums. They then plunge headlong into a pounding electro house sequence to send future crowds into a groove before switching back to a halftime arrangement and opening the bass floodgates one more time.
Snake is currently recording a brand-new album, he revealed last year. Crankdat, on the other hand, in June will soon head to California for his “Absolute Annihilation” run in partnership with Insomniac.
