It looks like Robert Kirkman’s Invincible has been renewed by Prime Video for Seasons 4 and 5! The news seems to have been accidentally confirmed by Skybound.

The information was shared as part of a crowdfunding campaign on Skybound’s Republic for a AAA Invincible video game.

In the segment of the page that lists details about the animated adaptation, it says, “Season 3 in Production; Renewed for Seasons 4 & 5.” That line has since been deleted, but a screenshot of it exists, and you can see it for yourself below.

It shouldn’t come as a surprise that we are getting a couple more seasons have been greenlit. After all, Robert Kirkman previously said that he’s hoping to do seven or eight of them.

Kirkman said: “I’m trying not to pin it down to a number, because it is somewhat of a moving target. I think in the seven-to-eight-season range seems like it would be enough.”

He added: “But there could be some things we move through a little faster, some things we expand. If we’re fortunate enough to go for a good long time, I think that would be enough to cover the entire comic.”

He continued: “And there are some things along the way that didn’t get into the comic that I’d like to do. I think it’d be cool to have some episodes here and there that are completely original. So that’s part of the plan moving forward.”

As for the game, it’s said that it would be developed by a team of “more than 30 gaming industry veterans” at Skybound, some of whom have previously worked at companies like Activision Blizzard, Electronic Arts/EA, and Epic Games.

The post also notes that $18 million has already been raised from investors and fans, with fans now being able to contribute funds towards the game through Republic.

The story for the series “revolves around 18-year-old Mark Grayson, who’s just like every other guy his age—except his father is (or was) the most powerful superhero on the planet.

“Still reeling from Nolan’s betrayal in Season One, Mark struggles to rebuild his life as he faces a host of new threats, all while battling his greatest fear – that he might become his father without even knowing it.”

The series stars Steven Yeun, with Sandra Oh, Zazie Beetz, Grey DeLisle, Chris Diamantopoulos, Walton Goggins, Gillian Jacobs, Jason Mantzoukas, Ross Marquand, Khary Payton, Zachary Quinto, Andrew Rannells, Kevin Michael Richardson, Seth Rogen, and J.K. Simmons.

Invincible Season 3 should be coming sooner rather than later.
