Warwick Davis, known for his roles in “Star Wars” and “Willow,” has lost his wife Samantha Davis, age 53.
In a tribute to her, Warwick described his late wife as his “most trusted confidant” and highlighted her infectious humor and sunny outlook on life.

In an interview with BBC, “Star Wars” actor Warwick Davis paid tribute to his wife, Samantha Davis, who died at the age of 53 on March 24.
In the touching tribute to his beloved wife, whom he affectionately referred to as Sammy, Warwick described her as his “most trusted confidant” and a steadfast supporter throughout his career.
“Her passing has left a huge hole in our lives as a family. I miss her hugs,” he said.
Warwick emphasized Samantha’s sunny disposition and infectious sense of humor, adding: “She was a unique character, always seeing the sunny side of life she had a wicked sense of humor and always laughed at my bad jokes.”
Their children, Harrison and Annabelle, echoed Warwick’s sentiments, expressing that Samantha’s “love and happiness carried us through our whole lives.”

They added, “Mum is our best friend, and we’re honored to have received a love like hers.”

Warwick Davis Recounts Samantha Davis’ Battle With Sepsis
Warwick opened up about Samantha’s health challenges including a battle with sepsis in 2019, just before a family caravan holiday.
He shared that although her symptoms were initially attributed to pre-trip stress, Samantha’s condition quickly deteriorated to the point where she couldn’t stand without assistance.
Concerned for her well-being, Warwick promptly sought medical help, leading to an urgent hospitalization.
In 2022, The “Leprechaun” actor also recalled the family’s emotional bedside moments during Samantha’s illness as they “sort of said goodbye” at the time.
Warwick said, “The next few hours were the longest of my life as I waited on the ward with our children in the empty space left by Sam’s hospital bed. I hoped it would not symbolise a future for us without her.”

“Our family gathered by her bedside; although optimistic, we were sort of saying goodbye in case Sam didn’t survive,” He continued: “It’s so hard to see someone you love more than anything in the world fighting to stay alive without the strength to even roll over in bed.’”
Fortunately, medical professionals identified a troubling scar from Samantha’s recent spinal surgery, showing signs of inflammation and infection. Tests confirmed a severe Streptococcus bacteria and meningitis infection, necessitating immediate surgery, and after a three-month journey to recovery, Samantha was on her feet again.

Warwick Davis And Samantha Davis’ Love Story
Samantha and Warwick first met on the set of his 1988 film Willow, in which Warwick portrayed the sorcerer Willow Ufgood. Samantha and her father, Peter (who is also Warwick’s business partner), had minor roles as villagers.
In 1991, the couple tied the knot but unfortunately, they faced heartbreak early in their marriage when their baby son, Lloyd, passed away just nine days after his birth in 1991.
Tragically, their sorrow deepened when Samantha miscarried their second child, whom they named George, at 20 weeks in 1993.
Despite these profound losses, Warwick and Samantha found solace and joy in their children, actress Annabelle, 27, and son Harrison, 21.
Warwick Davis Recounts How Losing A Child Strengthened His Bond With Wife, Samantha Davis
Reflecting on the hardships they endured, Warwick shared how the loss of their son Lloyd and a stillborn child ultimately strengthened their bond as a couple.
Recounting the heartbreaking experience during an episode of Bear Grylls’ television show in 2018, Warwick stated: “Prior to Annabelle and Harrison we had a baby boy, Lloyd, who inherited both our conditions… and that is something that proves fatal.”
He added: “It’s something that a baby won’t survive. But Lloyd he lived for survived for nine days, but yeah he was beautiful… but it was a tough time. And yeah, we had a stillborn too.”
Despite the immense grief, Warwick emphasized how he and Samantha navigated through the sorrow together, adding, “That kind of stuff it just makes you stronger [as a couple].”
