Later this year, Underoath will celebrate the 20th anniversary of their 2004 post-hardcore landmark, They’re Only Chasing Safety, on an upcoming tour, which will see them playing the album in full across North America.
The group announced the trek this morning (April 16), explaining that their forthcoming fall leg of dates will feature both a front-to-back performance of the album, as well as a fan-voted second set of songs. Ticket buyers will be able to make regionally specific requests for any Underoath track made between Safety and now. Deep cuts or live staples — whatever gets the most votes will be what makes the set.

“Twenty. Years. This is going to be like nothing we’ve ever done,” the band says. “They’re Only Chasing Safety in full every night, plus another set of songs voted on by each city. Every song from every album over the past 20 years will be on the table. Let’s get nuts.”
Presales begin this Wednesday (April 17), while tickets go up for sale to the general public on Friday (April 19). VIP packages are also being offered; these will grant fans “an informal hang with the band,” an exclusive anniversary edition of They’re Only Chasing Safety on vinyl, and copy of a new, 24-page comic book loosely based on They’re Only Chasing Safety, which is being published through Sumerian Comics.
Alternative Press’ presale begins Thursday (April 18) at 10 a.m. local time and runs until 10 p.m. with the password UOAP20.
