Elephant Man, known widely as the ‘Energy Gad,’ is as famous for his music as he is for his large family. In an Instagram Live session, he recently revealed that his family has grown significantly since 2019, with 20 to 38 children. The dancehall star’s first child was born when he was 17.

According to Dancehall Mag, Elephant Man discussed his love for women and said, “Mi might ugly and all of that, but the gyal dem like mi bandy legs… ‘Member a me climb and jump off a di something dem and the gyal dem she.” When asked by DJ/producer Noah Powa if he planned to have more children, Elephant Man responded affirmatively, indicating a hands-free attitude towards birth control. Elephant Man discussed his approach to relationships and family, openly stating he doesn’t use condoms.
“You nah sex your woman inna nuh condom, You ever go to your woman inna her house inna condom, yuh inna trouble,” he continued. The dancehall artist also discussed how his diet and natural remedies have contributed to his vitality and even showed off a concoction created by a popular herbalist known as ‘Viva.’ He claims his lifestyle keeps him in shape and able to handle the demands of his career and large family. Over the years, Elephant Man has faced significant scrutiny and rumors, including harsh allegations about his health.

He addressed rumors about having AIDS, vehemently denying them and underscoring his strength and resilience. In a 2020 interview, Elephant Man and Mr. Lexx discussed his controversial behaviors during their tour in the ’90s, which included nights spent with exotic dancers and not using condoms.
“When I heard that rumour, I was like, God, please no, cause even though me and him nuh good, me nuh wish dem thing deh pon nobody. But you could see why people could say that.”
Despite his alleged actions, Elephant Man says he’s very committed to his family. Although he does face disputes with some of his children’s mothers, he insists that he’s an involved and caring father.
