Killer Mike and Ric Flair‘s mutual admiration is no secret, and the latter has now shared a heartfelt message for his friend on his birthday.
The Atlanta native turned 49 years old on Saturday (April 20) and shared a video from the Nature Boy on social media to celebrate another year around the sun.
“Woo! Killer Mike, it’s the Nature Boy,” the wrestler begins in his trademark promo style. “Rolex wearing, diamond-ring wearing, limousine riding, private-jet flying! But make it a moment right now to say happy birthday to my largest brother. Congratulations!
“You’re the man and I mean you are the man. Happy birthday, my good friend, from the Nature Boy […] Always keep on stylin’ and profilin,’ living life the way only Killer Mike can. God bless you.”
Earlier this year, soon after the veteran rapper won three Grammy Awards for his Michael album, Flair shared a video on social media congratulating him.
“Woo! It’s the Nature Boy,” he said. “Shoutout my man, my brother, Killer Mike — not one Grammy, not two but three Grammys! Are you kidding me? You are the man! And to be the man, you got to beat the man. I don’t think you’re beatable, my brother.”
The Run The Jewels MC was among those in attendance at Flair’s 75th birthday celebration in Atlanta later that month.
The WWE and WCW icon took to X (formerly Twitter) in late February to share some photos from the star-studded event. Aside from the “SCIENTISTS & ENGINEERS” hitmaker, Darius Rucker, Hulk Hogan and a number of other celebrities were also present at the gathering.
In the caption, Flair wrote: “Thank You To All Of My Family & Friends For Coming Together For Such A Special Birthday Celebration! It Was A Very Sentimental Night For Me! I Am So Blessed To Be Able To Make These Memories With You All! Here’s To 75! WOOOOO!”
Back in 2015, Killer Mike released a song titled “RIC FLAIR,” on which he raps: “To make it out the ice cold streets of the city/ You better have a Christopher word game, witty/ You better have a dance game similar to Diddy/ Or play b-ball above the rim like Smitty.”
