Comedian and actor DC Young Fly is opening up about losing his partner Ms Jacky Oh and when it comes to the manner of her death, he admits that whenever he sees other women online with BBLs (Brazilian Butt Lifts), he wonders why she didn’t “make it.”

While recently sitting down with NFL player-turned-podcaster Cam Newton, DC Young Fly reflects on his journey of mourning and how he he constantly reminded about his late partner and how she died whenever he logs online and sees other women who have undergone surgery and made it out alive.
As we’ve previously shared, Ms Jacky Oh, with whom DC Young Fly shares three children, passed away in May 2023 as a result of complications from a mommy makeover and BBL (Brazilian Butt Lift). Following Jacky Oh’s tragic passing, tragedy struck again for DC Young Fly and his family in October 2023. At the time, he revealed that his sister had passed away.
Despite the back-to-back losses, DC affirmed that he was putting his trust in God and told his fans on Instagram, “GOD is love and love will always overcome adversity.” DC is continuing to place his trust and keep his faith in the higher power again as the holidays roll in for his family.

Now reflecting on his partner’s death, DC Young Fly tells Cam Newton on his ‘Funky Friday‘ podcast, “Me losing my girl, is saying, ‘Be appreciative of everything.’ When I say everything… the good, the bad, everything. Because sh*t get real.” Newton proceeds to ask DC if he looks at bodily procedures differently after losing his partner.
DC Young Fly replies, “I get why women want to enhance themselves. I get it. But, fellas, we have to do more on just continuously telling our women, ‘You’re beautiful.’” Newton adds, “You’re enough.” DC continues, “We have to continuously tell them that they’re gorgeous. Don’t make your woman feel like she has to go do something… Even if you’re f***ing with another chick. No. No. No. No. No. You just love a woman…that’s it. And women, listen to your man. Just listen. Just listen. Just listen.”

DC Young Fly continues to speak on losing Ms Jacky Oh after her BBL surgery and says, “Even with all of that going on. This is what I’m reminded [of] every day. If you look it at, bro, the women with the rate of BBLs… If you look at the women today, there’s a lot of them who have BBLs, when you go outside. So, I’m constantly reminded. I’m constantly reminded like, they made it, there go another big booty. She made it. Go in the club. All these motherf***ers in here made it. See what I’m saying?”
DC adds, “So, you just gotta continue to go through the stages and understand that that’s just how it is, my n***a. Sh*t, you got the rest of your life, what you gonna do from this situation? Just stay prayed up and stay working, stay moving. Because I’m not finna sit here and tell somebody don’t do what they want to do. But, if you got a woman, just continuously tell her that she’s gorgeous and continuously tell her that she’s beautiful. And whatever happens after that, it happens. People make decisions. As a unit, you have to live with that as a unit. So, I can’t even sit here and say, ‘I’m against nothing. I’m with it.’ As a unit, I took a loss. And as a unit, I just want people to move as a unit, and whatever happens or whatever… Because she did get her t*tties done, so, I did have a sense of, ‘Okay, that worked.’”
