Anthony Green, the Circa Survive/L.S. Dunes/Saosin/etc. leader that you voted the best post-hardcore vocalist of all time, has announced a new solo album. It’s called Doom. Spun., and it’s a sequel and companion to 2022’s excellent Boom. Done. It arrives June 26 via Born Losers Records (preorder), and the first single “Megadeath” is out now. Green says the following about the new song and album:
The album is a collection of experimentation and collaboration, like a collage of moments from my life since Boom. Done. was released. I began building the record using some of the songs that didn’t fit on Boom. Done., “Megadeath” is a song that I have been working on for the past few years. The first week of the tour, I was workshopping a solo arrangement that really seemed to be connecting with the audience. When I played my hometown of Philly, we had the chance to record the version at the World Cafe Live studio and had members of the audience sing backup vocals on it. Being able to record this song while on tour and with people who were attending my shows was a truly unique experience. I am excited that the essence of these experiences is captured in the heart of this song.

“Megadeath” comes with a video that was shot on tour, and it features stage banter from Green as well as studio footage of the song’s audience backup vocals. Check it out below. The album will also include Green’s recent cover of Title Fight’s “Numb, But I Still Feel It.”
