For a few months now, fans have been extremely concerned for Ryan Garcia and his mental health as the boxer shared numerous back-to-back cryptic and alarming posts on his social media. Several of his posts referenced Satanism and being sacrificed, leaving his fans to believe that his life and family’s lives were in danger or that he was having some sort of life crisis or mental breakdown.
However, Ryan Garcia is now addressing his “crazy” behavior in recent months and admitting that it was all a publicity stunt leading up to his fight with Devin Haney last Saturday (April 20). While appearing on the latest episode of the ‘PBD Podcast,’ Garcia confessed that his recent behavior was all a part of his team’s elaborate and strategic plan to get as many eyes on him as possible before his fight against Haney. He claimed the mission was called, ‘The Great Escape.’

Speaking on the podcast, Garcia said, “We had it pre-recorded months ago. I said ‘I’m about to make sure everybody thinks I’m going crazy. I’m going to do this, I’m going to do that, watch it’s going to be called ‘The Great Escape.’ I have it all documented. I was already planning weeks and weeks and weeks behind. I don’t know what made me come up with the idea.”
Garcia doesn’t exactly reveal how he came up with the idea to pull off the wild scheme, but his commitment surely had everyone hooked. He said, “One day, I just decided to go all in and just commit to a plan that I had, and I was not going to budge for nobody. It don’t matter if I went on his podcast or anybody’s podcast; I was acting sporadic, just like crazy.”

In addition to arriving at interviews and acting completely abnormal and erratic, Ryan Garcia would turn things up a notch by sharing countless troubling social media posts about Satanism. One of his more critical posts showed him claiming that he had been sacrificed. After leaving fans puzzled, he then confirmed that he was “okay.”
Days before the Devin Haney fight, Ryan Garcia continued to shock fans when he claimed he eloped with adult star Savannah Bond. He also coupled the reveal with other interesting tweets about Bobbi Althoff, Drake, Kanye West, Kylie Jenner, Justin Bieber, Jaden Smith, Gervonta Davis, and more.
Finally, the day of the fight arrived, and Ryan Garcia silenced everyone’s concerns when he knocked out Devin Haney three times before winning by majority decision. In one of the boxer’s post-fight interviews, he even trolled the crowd, “You thought I was crazy?”
