Actor Steve Carell has signed on to star opposite Tina Fey in the Netflix comedy series The Four Seasons. The pair previously starred in the romantic comedy Date Night, which was hilarious, so this should also be a lot of fun. The series is based on the 1981 Universal film of the same name, and Fey is co-creating with former 30 Rock colleagues Lang Fisher and Tracey Wigfield.
Details as to the role Carell is playing are under wraps. The original film was written and directed by Alan Alda, produced by Martin Bregman, and starred Alda and Carol Burnett, and it told the story of three couples who vacation together every season.
Alda and Marissa Bregman will produce the series scripted by Fey, Fisher and Wigfield, which is scheduled to enter production later this year.
This sounds like it will be a great series, and I look forward to hearing who else they cast.
