Raquel Leviss opens up about her “experience with domestic violence,” hints her ex drove recklessly while she was still in the vehicle, and discusses how she thought she could “fix him.”
The Vanderpump Rules alum also claimed he pushed a “narrative” that his own ex was “crazy,” though Raquel now believes it isn’t true.
“I actually can’t go rogue today because I’ve recorded a very personal episode talking about my experience with domestic violence,” said the star on her Rachel Goes Rogue podcast, via @breakingtherulespod on Instagram. “I have been advised not to air the whole thing.”
Though she didn’t name names, Raquel said she’s been “processing through abuse” with a therapist, and she learns that what she went through is “considered abuse.”
“She actually gave me a PDF format that maps out examples of physical abuse, sexual abuse, verbal abuse, emotional and psychological abuse, stalking and harassment, digital abuse, and financial abuse,” she went on. “Some of them I was surprised to see were on there.”
“The first one is driving recklessly or dangerously with you in the car,” she said. “…One of the people that I was seeing really put that narrative out there that his ex was crazy, and in a way I think that he might have made her crazy.”
According to Raquel, she doesn’t believe his ex was actually “crazy,” but rather, she was “dealing with this guy,” and Raquel herself now feels “crazy.”
The star indicated that she felt she could “help him” and “fix him” at the time, as he once treated her like a “queen” – though he was an “a**hole” to others.
On her Instagram Stories, Raquel also shared a quote about abusive behavior.
“Abuse is any behavior that is designed to control or dominate another person,” said the quote from Rhoberta Shaler. “Whether that is through fear, humiliation, intimidation, isolation, guilt, blaming, manipulation, or denial, it is abuse, emotional abuse.”
