Bethenny Frankel might be a controversial figure due to some of her comments. Now, though, the Real Housewives of New York City alum is going through a difficult time as her mother passed away on April 19. To focus on grieving, Bethenny has decided to take some time away from one of her podcasts.
Fans will recall that Bethenny hasn’t had a great relationship with her mother since we got to know her on RHONY. Sadly, the two had been feuding for well over a decade. Still, the loss of a parent is never easy.
Bethenny is now stepping away from her Just B Divorced podcast for a while as she grieves this loss. She also plans to remove certain episodes of the podcast.
The former talk show host released a statement on her Instagram Stories that said:
“I have chosen to temporarily remove my divorce podcast as a result of an overwhelming response and an influx of messages that have converged with the most significant loss of my life.”
The statement continues, “It is impossible for me to give and process both of these traumatic events at the same time.”
As mentioned, Bethenny plans to continue the podcast in the coming weeks as she sees how important the topic is for people who also happen to be going through divorces.
She ended the statement by saying, “I love you all and am so grateful to you for supporting me in both areas.”
Fans should note that she will continue recording her other podcasts while she’s on a break from Just B Divorced.
In recent weeks, Bethenny faced some backlash after sharing some bombshell revelations about her divorce, including being glad that she suffered a miscarriage during her marriage to ex-husband Jason Hoppy, and also claiming she felt bullied into having her daughter Bryn.
When it comes to her mom’s passing, below is Bethenny’s Instagram tribute to her mother where she both celebrates her for being “stunning” but also references growing up and then escaping an “abusive home.”
Bethenny has always been a controversial figure, but here’s to hoping she finds a healthy way to navigate what must be conflicting feelings about her mother.
