Vanderpump Rules is always in the news despite the show not being as big as it was in season 10. Much of this has to do with the reminiscence of drama between Ariana Madix, Tom Sandoval, and the continued revelations of Rachel Leviss. Now, an insider is saying that both Ariana and Tom are surprised that she is going the legal route.
As many fans know, Rachel filed a claim in an LA court accusing both Tom and Ariana of revenge porn, eavesdropping, invasion of privacy, and more. Of course, this comes after Tom cheated on Ariana with Rachel, and the whole thing played out for the world to see. In particular, Rachel is suing over an allegedly compromising FaceTime between her and Tom that she believes he has shared with other people.
According to OK!, a source recently said, “They can’t believe she’s coming after them.” Notably, Ariana is said to be shocked by the lawsuit.
However, perhaps they shouldn’t be shocked as the scandal has impacted Rachel’s life in a dramatic way. Most people may not agree with how she has handled it, but it is clear that she wants to be made whole, whatever that means to her. So far, she’s not only started a podcast where she’s made allegations about not only Tom but also Lisa.
According to the lawsuit, “It also caused mayhem in Leviss’ life, culminating in months-long in-patient treatment at a mental health facility and her departure from the show. Fomented by Bravo and Evolution in conjunction with the cast, Leviss was subjected to a public skewering with little precedent and became, without exaggeration, one of the most hated women in America.”
It also blamed Bravo for how things played out despite Rachel agreeing to have her life shown on TV and understanding that editing can take the footage and do with it what they want.
The lawsuit continues, “It is clear that Bravo deliberately sacrificed Leviss for the sake of its commercial interests from its refusal to allow her the opportunity to tell her side of the story and defend herself, which she repeatedly begged for permission to do.”
Rachel is requesting that all copies of the alleged FaceTime video be destroyed. She also wants an injunction put in place, so no one sees it again.
In other Vanderpump Rules news, Ariana is done waiting for Tom to agree to sell their home so they can split the profits as she has purchased a new home. An insider recently talked to Life & Style and had this to say, “Ariana pretty much left Tom in the dust. She couldn’t care less about him. She’s got bigger fish to fry.”
Notably, they continued to live in the house after the breakup. However, it’s unclear if Ariana has moved into her new $1.6 million investment.
