Disgraced movie mogul Harvey Weinstein has been hospitalized, according to his lawyer. Attorney Arthur Aidala provided little details to the Associated Press on Saturday.
According to Aidala, Weinstein was moved to Bellevue Hospital in Manhattan after his arrival on Friday to city jail. While there, “They examined him and sent him to Bellevue. It seems like he needs a lot of help, physically. He’s got a lot of problems. He’s getting all kinds of tests. He’s somewhat of a train wreck health wise,” Aidala told the Associated Press.
Frank Dwyer, a spokesperson with the New York City Department of Correction told the outlet that only Weinstein remains in custody at Bellevue. His hospitalization comes just two days after Harvey Weinstein‘s rape conviction was overturned by the New York Court of Appeals.

More On Harvey Weinstein:
As we previously reported, news broke Thursday that Weinstein’s rape conviction was overturned in New York with a 4-3 ruling that stated the previous New York County trial prejudiced him with improper ruling, including women testifying about allegations that weren’t part of the original case.
Despite this legal development, Weinstein remains incarcerated due to a separate rape conviction in Los Angeles, for which he received a 16-year sentence. In 2020, Weinstein was found guilty in New York of rape and criminal sexual acts, resulting in a 23-year prison term. His subsequent conviction in Los Angeles added another 16 years to his sentence.
