Like many reality TV personalities, the Real Housewives of New Jersey star Dolores Catania has been fairly open about her use of Ozempic and then Mounjaro to lose weight. Her boyfriend, Paul Connell, has even joined her on the fitness journey. Recently, she shared that the two have lost a combined 70 pounds since starting.
As fans know, Dolores became a full-time housewife during the seventh season of RHONJ. She confirmed her relationship with Paul in 2022. Regarding the weight loss drugs Ozempic and Mounjaro, they’re both intended to treat Type 2 diabetes.
Dolores recently spoke to The Sun and provided an update on her fitness journey and how she’d reached a milestone.
She said, “As of this morning[April 20th], 129. That’s high school weight. I feel great. I feel the best I ever have in my life.”
Dolores says that her goal weight is 125 pounds, which is what her doctor suggested due to her height.
In discussing her eating habits, she says that she and Paul don’t eat junk food and that “it kind of nauseates you to look at cake.”
She goes on, “I was a big carb person. I was Doritos, chips, onion dip. Now, it makes me nauseous. So I absolutely don’t eat that anymore. Diet is a lifestyle, not a fad. So once you’ve gotten to that point, which I have now with the help of Mounjaro, I don’t eat junk food.”
As for Paul, he also motivates Dolores to exercise and even hired a trainer for her. He has lost 40 pounds since starting the drug in June of 2023. He started at 230 pounds. The two shared that they work out four times a week together.
In July of 2023, Dolores shared with the publication that she started at 157 pounds but had lost 20 pounds since starting Mounjaro earlier that year.
Of course, fans will see Dolores on the upcoming season of The Real Housewives of New Jersey, which starts May 5th on Bravo.
