Houston Texans wide receiver Tank Dell was reportedly involved in a shooting incident late Sunday night, according to TMZ.
The shooting reportedly took place at a Florida nightclub. Shortly after midnight, deputies on area patrol heard multiple gunshots from the rear of the venue, according to the sheriff’s office. The crowd dispersed, and it was discovered that ten individuals had suffered non-life-threatening gunshot wounds, as reported by deputies.

Witnesses stated that a physical altercation broke out inside Cabana Live, leading to an uninvolved Black male subject, later identified as the 16-year-old suspect pulling out a handgun and firing towards a group of people. “We have been made aware that Tank Dell was a victim of a shooting in Sanford, Fla. last night. He sustained a minor wound but has been released from the hospital and he is in good spirits,” the Texans said in a statement Sunday afternoon.

The report confirmed that management provided information indicating that the 16-year-old did indeed discharge a firearm into a crowd of people inside the venue.
Authorities noted that due to the suspect being a juvenile, they sought consent from his mother to question him. However, the mother requested that no one speak with him without the presence of an attorney. As a result, the 16-year-old was not interrogated at the scene and was instead taken to the Seminole County Juvenile Assessment Center to face criminal charges.
It was revealed by authorities that the teenager used a 9mm handgun during the incident, and spent shell cases matching those found in the handgun’s magazine were discovered on the floor.

All of the victims that were struck were taken to the hospital with gunshot wounds, several of which told authorities that they intend to prosecute.
The 16-year-old suspect was taken into custody and charged with attempted homicide, firing a gun in a public area, using a firearm during the commission of a felony, and possessing a firearm as a minor.
