T.J. Holmes’ ‘Clinginess’ Is Allegedly Straining His Amy Robach Romance

T.J. Holmes and Amy Robach are undoubtedly in love, but according to a report, recent revelations suggest that Holmes’ attitude is threatening their romance.

Holmes had confessed during a podcast episode that he always gets anxious whenever Robach is away from him. The pair also revealed that they are still unsure about getting married but plan on living together.

According to a report, Holmes’ “clingy” behavior could endanger his relationship with Robach.

A source told the news outlet that Holmes struggles to keep his jealousy out of their relationship and can’t bear to be away from Robach as he always feels anxious when she leaves the room.

An insider shared, “Everything they’ve been through in the past year and a half has turned T.J. into a clingy lover. He can’t even stand being left alone for five minutes before he’ll start looking for Amy.”

The source went on to note that Robach’s scheduled interview away from home is already causing Holmes to “freak out,” making her want to leave sooner.

“His jealousy and clinginess have pushed them to the brink,” the insider added, per Radar Online. “If they don’t get substantial jobs to occupy their time and thoughts soon, it could soon be over!”

Holmes confessed his frustration when separated from his partner, Robach, during an earlier episode of their “Amy & T.J.” podcast.

The 46-year-old said: “I have said this to you plenty of times. I get not pissed [but] I get really frustrated when we are, not apart, but actually apart and traveling apart.”

Holmes admitted feeling a sense of responsibility to protect and support Robach, adding: “We have been through so much together. I always get an anxiety, I get fear that [if] we’re not together, I’m not there with you, frankly, to protect you, to help you if anything goes on. I just don’t like being apart from you.”

Holmes clarified that his discomfort stems not from missing her but from a deep-seated concern “that something is going to happen.”

“It is not a matter of missing you,” he added. “I miss you when you go to the bathroom. I hate when we travel apart for long periods.”

On the latest episode of their “Amy & T.J.” podcast, the couple seemingly suggested that their relationship is blossoming well as they teased the prospect of getting married.

“We’re still deciding about what that level of commitment is … whether it’s legal or not … but mentally, emotionally, we’ve absolutely agreed to commit to one another,” Robach explained. “We haven’t figured [out] the marriage thing out yet.”

“We haven’t decided whether or not we are going to officially get married,” Holmes chimed in.

The 51-year-old mother of two went further to note that she was looking for a “life partner” in Holmes as she likened what she wanted to the longtime partnership of Goldie Hawn and Kurt Russell, who’ve been together since 1983.

“What is a life partner short of a legal (sic) binding agreement? Can you have a life partner without that?” Holmes questioned. “You can,” Robach replied.

“I’m sure, and I know it’s not perfect. But I’ve always been in awe of the fact that every day they wake up and they choose to be together, there’s no legal (sic) binding document that says they have to be together,” Robach said of Hawn and Russell’s relationship.

During the recent podcast episode, the couple opened up about the times they have argued, noting that they never “bicker” at each other but instead have occasional “blowout” fights.

“We fight about the same things, but not about the small things,” Holmes shared, adding that they have “the same fight” once every six weeks.

“It drives us both crazy,” Robach noted. “But we don’t frequently bicker. I would never describe what we do as ‘bicker.'”

“Oh no! We have big blowouts!” Holmes interjected. “If we’re gonna do this, let’s do this.”

“It’s go big or go home,” Robach further stated regarding their arguments.

The couple are reportedly looking to get back on air since their ousting from ABC News. According to Radar Online, the couple hopes to secure a place on a juicy reality TV show.

“They’re seriously proposing it because they think it’s the only thing that will get them back on TV,” a source shared. “But people are telling them they’re crazy because it will put the final nail in any hopes to be considered serious journalists again!”

Another insider said of the couple’s plans to enter showbiz: “They’re just digging a deeper hole for themselves. Reality TV only makes them look worse than the damaged goods they already are.”

It comes after Holmes and Robach admitted on their podcast that the pressure to stay relevant has  “consumed both” of them.
