In an outing that melded raw energy with artistic synergy, Knock2 joined forces with Zedd for a collaborative DJ set that set Echostage alight.
Knock2’s live sets have turned heads throughout the dance music community as the EDM.com Class of 2023 star has delivered on a series of notable b2b performances in recent times, each seemingly more exhilarating than the last. From teaming up with RL Grime at Ultra Music Festival to joining forces with Dillon Francis at Imagine Music Festival, Knock2 has demonstrated a knack for dynamic performances that blend seamlessly with the styles of his high-profile peers.
His recent performance at Echostage alongside Zedd ignited with the stadium-filling chants of the latter’s “Beautiful Now,” setting a tone that would only build as the night progressed. The energy in the room escalated as the music morphed into a pulsating four-on-the-floor groove, intertwining melodically with Knock2 and NGHTMRE’s “One Chance.” Knock2’s signature robust beats never failed to energize the crowd, maintaining a high-octane vibe throughout the 90-minute spectacle.
Amidst the familiar hits, the two also ventured into unexpected territories, including a thrilling excursion into drum & bass with Pendulum’s “Salt in the Wounds.” Adding to the excitement, Knock2 previewed several unreleased tracks, including IDs with RL Grime, indicating that his meteoric journey is far from over.
“When this all came together at first it sounded like an insane idea, because Rich and I don’t make the same type of music,” Zedd said on the mic at one point. “But at the end all that matters is good people, good times and good music. It doesn’t matter what genre it is.”
