Lala Kent could join the cast of The Valley for season two. But would it mean that she’s forced to walk away from her role on Vanderpump Rules?
Following the Pump Rules finale episode on Tuesday, which saw several members of the show, including Lala, 33, turning on Ariana Madix, 38, for her refusal to have a conversation with Tom Sandoval, 41, post-affair, Lala is allegedly considering joining the series’ latest spinoff.
“Lala is in early talks to join The Valley,” an insider told Page Six on May 8. “She is very connected with that cast. Those girls are her very good friends and mom crew.”
As fans well know, Lala has a relationship with nearly every member of The Valley cast, which includes Jax Taylor, 44, Brittany Cartwright, 35, Kristen Doute, 41, Nia, 34, and Daniel Booko, 40, Janet and Jason Caperna, Michelle and Jesse Lally, and Jasmine Goode, 36.
That said, Lala’s potential role on The Valley season two wouldn’t mean she couldn’t film Pump Rules season 12.
“That’s her home,” the source said. “It’s not one or the other.”
Additionally, while the yet-to-be-confirmed second season of The Valley is expected to begin filming soon, Pump Rules has been placed on a filming pause, which means they will not go into production until later this year.
During Tuesday night’s show, Lala lashed out at Ariana for thinking “she is Beyoncé.”
“It’s bullsh*t that she can’t film with someone because she stays under the same roof. It’s a lot. It’s a lot that she’s saying, ‘Don’t f*ck with Tom Sandoval… But, I’m gonna sleep down the hall from Tom Sandoval,’” Lala explained. “This is what we do. We’ve been doing this for most of our adult lives. We’ve all experienced high highs and low lows and there’s a responsibility that comes with living your life on camera. You have to be truthful, even when it’s extremely uncomfortable.”
While Lala, who recently purchased a new home in the Valley area of Los Angeles, hasn’t shared whether or not she’ll be seen on The Valley season two quite yet, she did say she was open to it while appearing on Access Hollywood’s Housewives Nightcap podcast earlier this year.
“It’s an organic fit. Those people, I know, I hang out with, we get along, we get our kids together, we trick-or-treat on Halloween,” she explained. “So if I ever got the call to do that, of course I would not say no.”
In addition to Lala being close to the cast of The Valley, so is Scheana Shay, 39. In fact, while celebrating her birthday earlier this week, she was joined by several members of the show, including Janet, Nia, Brittany, and Michelle.
As seen in a photo shared by Real Moms of Bravo on Instagram, Scheana was also joined by Jeremy Madix‘s fiancee, Rachael, as her former bestie, Ariana, was nowhere in sight.
Back in March, Jeremy admitted to Us Weekly that his current estrangement from sister Ariana was the result of tension between her and Rachael.
The three-part Vanderpump Rules season 11 reunion premieres next Tuesday, May 14, at 8/7 on Bravo, followed by The Valley season one at 9/8.
