#Socialites, get a load of this! Southwest Airlines says they are “looking into” the viral video of a woman seen lying down for a nap inside of an overhead bin before takeoff.

Monique Guzman, another Southwest Airlines passenger who was on the aircraft when this went down, ended up recording and sharing the footage of the strange incident that involved a woman lying down, for an apparent nap, next to a suitcase inside the plane’s overhead bin as flight attendants greeted other passengers.
In a statement to Storyful, Guzman said the incident happened on a Southwest Airlines flight from Albuquerque, New Mexico to Phoenix, Arizona on May 6. In the video she captured, the unnamed woman is seen curled up next to luggage before the plane took off.

Guzman told Storyful, “I got on the plane and saw a head pop out of the overhead.” She added that despite the odd sighting, other passengers were “just casually walking past her.” Before takeoff, Guzman said a Southwest Airlines flight attendant finally found the woman and had her come down from the overhead bin.
Storyful revealed that they contacted Southwest Airlines for an official statement, but according to USA TODAY, the airline claimed they were investigating the matter and provided no further details. The news outlet said that in an email sent to them, the airline claimed they were “looking into the incident.”

The news outlet also shared that a similar incident occurred back in 2019 on another Southwest Airlines plane. A flight attendant had crawled into the plane’s overhead bin as passengers were boarding a flight from Nashville, Tennessee to Atlanta, Georgia.
At the time, officials with Southwest Airlines said that the flight attendant was “having a moment of fun and expressing her sense of humor” with the passengers that were boarding the plane.
