Gypsy Rose Blanchard Talks Dee Dee Blanchard Death In New Mother’s Day Video

Gypsy Rose Blanchard, who was sentenced to 10 years in prison after she pled guilty to co-conspiring her mother’s murder, has shared a Mother’s Day post.

The 32-year-old acknowledged that her biological mother, Dee Dee Blanchard, is not alive but still “thinks the best of her.”

“So today is Mother’s Day and I wanted to make a video basically celebrating the really strong and wonderful women that I have in my life,” Gypsy began in her eight-minute long TikTok video.

The ex-convict turned off the comments on her video because she doesn’t want “to hear any negative bullsh-t.”

“If you want to talk sh-t about me, by all means, I don’t give a f,” she stated. “Go do it on your own platform, but I’m not going to see it in my comments, okay?”

She then went on to say, “It does not go without notice that my own biological mother is not here to celebrate Mother’s Day, and what I choose to feel on Mother’s Day regarding my own mother is that I think the best of her.”

“I think about the good times,” she continued. “I think about her as not what she did to me but, I think about her as a person.”

“Do I think that was she a good mom? No. Do I think she was the best mom in the world? No, but she was still my mom, so what I choose to feel about her, whether that be guilt, anger, grief, resentment, whatever that’s mine to feel, no one can take away my feelings about my own mother,” the ex-convict added.

As The Blast previously reported, Dee Dee Blanchard is believed to have had Munchausen syndrome by proxy, a mental health disorder where a caregiver, typically a mother, fabricates or induces illness in a dependent person, often a child.

“I always had this stuffed animal or a Barbie doll, [and Dee Dee would] just tell me [to] ‘play with your Barbie doll and when the doctor comes to examine me, just stay in the wheelchair; be calm; play with your doll, and don’t move your legs’,” she previously explained of her childhood.

Through a series of fabricated illnesses, including leukemia, sleep apnea, and muscular dystrophy, Dee Dee convinced doctors and the public that Gypsy required constant care and specialized equipment like a wheelchair.

She went on to say she chooses “to remember her for the good that was in her heart that I actually believe was there,” and she’s been working on “years of forgiveness.”

“I hope that she is in Heaven and I hope that to some degree I make her proud of at least some of the achievements that I made in my life,” she said.

Gypsy admitted she has “many” regrets, “but nobody’s going to be able to tell me things about myself that I don’t already know.”

“I will say a prayer for her today and I will remember the good that was inside of her, whether that be extremely deep or not. So I’ll say a prayer,” she said.

Gypsy then mentioned her stepmom, Kristy, who has been the “biggest advocate for my freedom, my growth, me and my stepmom have a really close bond.”

“She has always stood beside me,” Gypsy added. “Whether I made wrong choices, right choices, she might not always agree with my choices, but she does what she can to guide me as a mother figure.”

“Also, there is Ken’s mom, Reina. I met Ken’s mom in person in 2019. She came to visit me … and she’s been such an accepting person of me. I never thought that I would be accepted for who I am,” Gypsy added. “She goes to bat for me like in lives and social media, she will defend me. She calls me out on if Im doing something wrong, but she defends who I am as a person.”

“She’s just all around a good mom,” Gypsy continued.
