TDE CEO Anthony “Top Dawg” Tiffith has officially declared that the latest battle between his signee Kendrick Lamar and Drake is over, claiming it’s “a win for the culture while keeping it all on wax.”

The high-profile and long-standing rap beef between Kendrick Lamar and Drake has drawn to a close, but it was definitely one for the books. While taking to X (formerly Twitter) on May 10, Top Dawg Entertainment CEO Anthony “Top Dawg” Tiffith said that although the media has tried to sensationalize everything and spin several narratives about both Drake and Kendrick amid their beef, the battle has been a big win for Hip-Hop, nonetheless.

While declaring the Drake and Kendrick Lamar beef over, Top Dawg also teased the celebration of the label’s 20th anniversary with a compilation album. He wrote, “This battle is over. A win for the culture, while keeping it all on wax. Especially when these publications try to make it something else. We proved them wrong. That’s a victory within itself. On another note, it’s time to wrap up this TDE 20-year anniversary compilation.”

Before Top Dawg declared the Drake and Kendrick Lamar battle over, the line-up of disses ended with Drake’s “The Heart Part 6,” which he dropped on May 5 and mocked K. Dot’s “The Heart” series. On that same day, Top Dawg took to X and said that Kendrick Lamar was the winner, stating, “Now that we see Dot is still King, it’s time to address those who thought otherwise and showed their hand… Not Like Us. TDE.”

He then followed up the tweet by simply stating, “Good battle…” And his last tweet following that was his announcement declaring the Drake and Kendrick Lamar beef was officially over. Top Dawg’s final tweet arrived after an apparently unrelated drive-by shooting occurred at Drake’s Toronto mansion, which left his security guard critically injured. The incident would be followed by two more incidents of alleged trespassing attempts. Following Top Dawg’s tweet, a third alleged trespasser would be taken down by Drake’s security guards.

Before the apparent unrelated incidents at Drake’s Toronto home, the rapper also re-listed his Beverly Hills estate for sale for $88 million amid his Kendrick Lamar beef. The re-listing is said to have gone up days before the drive-by shooting at his Toronto mansion.

Ahead of the reports regarding Drake’s homes, he and Kendrick Lamar were engaged in a years-long beef, stemming all the way back to at least 2013, when Kendrick Lamar dissed Drake on Big Sean‘s track “Control.” The diss would be followed by more direct shots and subliminals during K. Dot’s 2013 BET Awards Cypher, which then spawned more subs between K. Dot and Drizzy, plus other artists tagging in like: Future, Metro Boomin’, A$AP Rocky, The Weeknd, Rick Ross, and Kanye West.
