Kyle Richards appeared on a podcast on Tuesday, where she spoke about Morgan Wade rumors and addressed Mauricio Umansky‘s recent move from their Encino, California, home.
As she explained where she and Morgan, 29, stand amid their reported falling out and reflected on Mauricio, 53, leaving their family home, the 55-year-old Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star dished on season 14, her status with Jeff Lewis, 54, dating, and more.
“[Morgan]’s great. She’s good and we’re good. She’s on tour right now and just on the road and busy, busy,” Kyle revealed on the May 14 episode of the B*tch Bible podcast.
In addition to not spending much time with Morgan amid her tour, Kyle is also getting additional space from estranged husband Mauricio in the weeks since he moved out.
“That was weird,” she admitted of him moving into a luxury condo in West Hollywood. “I always knew that when that day came, it would feel strange and very real all the sudden, and yeah, that’s exactly what happened. I’m a mom of four. I have a busy household. I’ve got six dogs right now … I’m used to having a lot of chaos and stuff going on around at my house, and the day that he moved out, it was just strange. Everything was so quiet.”
According to Kyle, Mauricio moved out when she was out of town. So, upon her return, she was initially taken aback.
“It was just Sophia and I was like, ‘Where’s everybody? What’s going on,’ and it just sort of dawned on me because I had been away and he did this when I was out of time, which was the smart thing to do. I don’t want to be there to see that. So it was just strange. Like, ‘Wow, it’s gonna be like this sometimes,’” she noted. “[Alexia Umansky] moved out recently, which is also strange. So I’m like, ‘Ahh.’ It’s an adjustment for sure.”
As Kyle continues to adjust to her and Mauricio’s new living arrangements, she’s begun filming for the new season of RHOBH after signing on for the new episodes at the last minute.
“It’s not uncommon for it to be like this. It’s sort of like, each year, you think, some years, I’m like, ‘That was not bad,’ and, ‘I had fun this year, and there were very few issues with me. It’s been on someone else this year.’ But last year really was hard, and then after we wrapped and the reunion aired, Buying Beverly Hills started and then it was like, rehashing everything again,” she explained. “So I really was just like, ‘I just don’t know if I can do this.’”
As she faced rumors of infidelity in her marriage and claims of a romance with Morgan, Kyle was shaded by Jeff, who fueled reports of her alleged lesbian relationship.
”I had [a bone to pick],” she shared of their dynamic. “He was sending me a lot of orchids, apologizing all the time.”
While Kyle and Mauricio show no signs of an impending reunion, the longtime reality star still considers their decades-long marriage a success.
“For me, it was my biggest accomplishment,” she revealed. “I came from a home that was broken. My mom was married many times, so I was very proud of my marriage and the family that we built. So it was hard for me to get to a place where I could say, ‘This is a success no matter what.’”
Kyle is also proud of the good terms on which she and Mauricio have remained.
“We get along. It is nice, and I’m proud of the fact that we get along and we can still do things like [Stagecoach] as a family because we are family, no matter what,” she reasoned.
Throughout RHOBH season 13, Kyle was accused of not sharing enough about her separation with her castmates. Looking back, however, she had no regrets.
“I don’t like the mystery in the sense that it makes people more intrigued but I don’t like feeling like I have…. I’ve shown so much of my life for so long,” she explained. “Obviously, they’re curious … but just because people are nosy or curious doesn’t mean I owe that to them. I show a lot and I’m also thinking of my family. I’m thinking of Mo. I’m thinking of my daughters and they come before any TV show.”
“I know a lot about these women. There has to be, at some point, I’m struggling. I was struggling. Help me out a little bit. You know? I’m having this hard time. Can you maybe just give me a little bit of a break?” she continued.
Also during the 13th season of RHOBH, as if she weren’t facing enough rumors about Morgan and Mauricio, Kyle was accused of using Ozempic to lose weight.
“Those rumors tortured me because it’s so frustrating when you’re working so hard,” Kyle noted. “People are literally losing their hair and losing their muscle tone and their stomachs are paralyzed. I don’t want to get in trouble here, but that’s the stories that I’m seeing out there, so I don’t know why anybody would still be doing that … Years ago, I probably would’ve tried anything, honestly … The thing is I also don’t really need that kind of thing because of my personality. If I really want to do something, I can take it too far with exercising too much and not eating enough.”
Looking ahead to season 14, Kyle said she wasn’t sure what her storyline would be.
“Right now, I’ve never been on my own. I was a mom at 19. When I lived alone after getting divorced very young, I lived in Beverly Hills in a condo that my mom lived in the same building. So I was kind of alone. I lived with Farrah and my mom was downstairs. This feels very different,” she revealed.
As for dating, Kyle admitted she’s not quite ready.
“I think I need to take a beat,” she shared. “We’re both allowed to do whatever we want, which is so strange, but I don’t even… If someone flirts with me at a red light, I will hit the gas and go through the red light. I’m very uncomfortable. I’m not good with that.”
The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills season 14 is currently in production and expected to premiere on Bravo sometime later this year or early next year.
