Kyle Richards confirms that she and her estranged husband, Mauricio Umansky, are no longer living together amid their separation.
On Tuesday’s episode of the Bitch Bible podcast, the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star revealed that Mauricio has finally moved out of their Encino mansion – 10 months after they announced their separation.
According to Kyle Richards, Mauricio packed all his belongings and moved while she was “out of town” one weekend.
“The day that he moved out was just strange because I came home, and I’m like, ‘Everything’s so quiet.’ I was like, ‘Where is everybody?’’ the RHOBH star recalled.
Despite it being “strange” living without Mauricio in their marital home, Kyle Richards thinks it was a “smart thing” for him to do.
“I didn’t want to be there to see that,” she admitted.
She adds that it was “weird” to learn that Mauricio had purchased his own place, a luxury condo in West Hollywood, because it made their split very real.
“I always knew when that day came it would feel strange, very real all of a sudden. And that’s exactly what happened. I’m a mom of four, I have a busy household,” she explained.
Despite Kyle and Mauricio’s separation, the RHOBH OG still considers their marriage successful.
“For me, it was my biggest accomplishment,” she revealed. “I came from a home that was broken. My mom was married many times, so I was very proud of my marriage and the family that we built. So it was hard for me to get to a place where I could say, ‘This is a success no matter what.’”
She is also proud that she and Mauricio have remained on good terms.
“We get along. It is nice, and I’m proud of the fact that we get along and we can still do things like [Stagecoach] as a family because we are family, no matter what,” she said.
The ex-RHOBH couple wed in 1996. They share daughters Alexia, 27, Sophia, 23, and Portia, 15. Mauricio is also stepfather to Kyle’s daughter Farrah Aldjufrie, 34, from her first marriage to Guraish Aldjufrie.
