Diddy’s alleged drug mule and former Syracuse University basketball player Brendan Paul avoids jail team in drug trafficking case.
Back on March 27, life came at Brendan Paul so fast he probably still can’t believe it happened. Paul was arrested for felony cocaine and marijuana possession at the Opa-Locka airport. Homeland Security and Miami Dade police teamed up in a coordinated operation to take him into custody. Most of that day police In Los Angeles and Miami had the world’s attention as they raided Sean “Diddy” Combs’s houses.
Reportedly the raids were related to a sexual misconduct probe against Puff brought forth by producer Lil Rod. In the sexual assault lawsuit, Brendan was directly named so it wasn’t surprising the authorities had him in their sights.
Also, the lawsuit claimed Paul was Diddy’s “drug mule” who supplied all the “drugs and guns.”
According to People, Brendan is already making heavy strides to put this behind him after accepting a plea agreement in the case.
Brendan accepted the prosecutor’s offer to permit his entry into the diversion program which, after completion, the case against him will be dismissed in its entirety,” said Brian Bieber, Paul’s attorney, in a statement obtained by PEOPLE.
Paul’s plea deal saw his felony charges for edibles dropped as part of the agreement in addition to avoiding any jail time. TMZ reports the deal is allegedly a standard offer to “non-violent” defendants with no previous record. He was also enrolled in a drug diversion program as part of the deal. Once completed he won’t even have probation on top of avoiding any jail time. When it comes to deals this might be the sweetest one we’ve seen since Gunna’s plea.
However, we’re afraid he won’t be able to overcome the snitch allegations with a deal that good.
