Ben Affleck, Jennifer Lopez Seen Together For The First Time In 7 Weeks

Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez have finally been pictured together amid reports that their barely two-year-old marriage has hit the rocks.

Affleck and Lopez were seen attending a school production for the actor’s 15-year-old child, Fin, whom he shares with Jennifer Garner.

After raising concerns about their marriage, Affleck and Lopez reunited for the first time in 47 days.

The couple had not been seen together since Easter Sunday when they grabbed dinner at Cecconi restaurant in New York, sparking speculations that they had secretly dissolved their marriage.

According to new pictures, they’ve put those divorce rumors to rest as the “Hustlers” star joined her husband for his child Fin’s school production.

However, an eyewitness told the DailyMail that Affleck “did not look happy to see JLo as she arrived at a show for one of his kids.”

“When he saw her get out of her car, they did not hug or kiss,” the tipster noted.

Lopez wore a beige button-down top tucked into light-wash flared jeans and stilettos for the occasion. On the other hand, Affleck donned a dark blue flannel over a grey graphic T-shirt, jeans, and a pair of Nike sneakers.

Despite the reported rift in their marriage, Lopez still made sure to bring a beautiful bouquet of sunflowers to celebrate Affleck’s child’s performance.

According to Perez Hilton, a source said the couple is prioritizing their children over their marriage troubles.

The insider noted that “nothing would have stopped them coming together for the kids” and that “the marriage drama comes second.”

“They are putting on a united front. Jen showed up with Emme to support Fin. Emme’s super attached to Fin, so it’s only natural that Jen, no matter what she’s going through with Ben, was there,” the source noted.

“Jen looked super thin and was dressed casual-chic,” the source shared. “She didn’t glam up like the last time she came to a school function. She seemed more subdued than usual when she greeted Ben as he pulled the car up. Emme was super excited, though, jumping for joy over Fin’s performance.”

The “Let’s Get Loud” singer sent the rumor mill into overdrive when she liked an Instagram post detailing the challenges of building a relationship that lacks “integrity and respect.”

The text slides, shared by relationship coach Lenna Marsak, read, “You cannot build a healthy relationship with someone who lacks integrity and emotional safety.”

Other slides in the post highlighted some red flags in a relationship, including a partner who “Doesn’t respect your time, doesn’t think it’s important to call/text back in a respectable time frame, repeatedly fails to follow through on their promises and lacks effective communication skills.”

It went on to state that “Trust is the foundation of any relationship,” adding that a relationship without it “creates an environment of fear, anxiety, and emotional instability, making it challenging to feel safe and secure in the relationship.”

Other issues discussed include when a partner “lacks effective communication skills = silent treatment, withdraws, refuses to communicate unless it’s on their terms.”

“Effective communication fosters empathy and connection. Feeling heard and having your feelings validated is crucial for a healthy relationship to blossom,” Marsak added.

According to InTouch, a source shared that the embattled couple’s marriage has experienced a rough patch, leading to Affleck moving out of their $60 million matrimonial home as they “just couldn’t make it work.”

“The writing is on the wall – it’s over,” the source stated, adding, “They’re headed for a divorce – and for once, [Ben’s] not to blame!”

“He’s focusing on his work and his kids now,” the insider went on. “Ben already moved out, and they’ll likely have to sell the dream house they spent two years searching for.”

“They’ll never stop loving each other, but she can’t control him, and he can’t change her. There’s no way it could have lasted,” they added.

The tipster added that Affleck “decided to call it quits” on his marriage to Lopez and has been working on his new movie, “The Accountant 2.”

TMZ also reported that the “Hypnotic” actor has been seen leaving and entering a house in the Brentwood neighborhood of Los Angeles since he moved out of the home he shares with Lopez.
