I have loved the Rock since I saw it in theaters when I was 10 – its truly so damn amazing. I just noticed a really cool thing watching it, as Mason never wins his fights in the movie by overpowering the marines, but just being smart. Its such a great detail and elevates the movie to its iconic spot

Gigi Hadid ‘Heartbroken’ Following Food Network Anne Burrell’s Death

Watching the fight scene toward the end, and a big marine gets Mason in the cistern room, saying his old man was Irish, etc. And he is handling Mason easily. Until Mason just moves his head when the guy gets cocky and swings, breaking his hand. Mason grabs his hand and drops him to the ground, where he grabs a big chain and throws it around his neck, then the rest down the side of a big drop. And the marine chokes out. The whole movie, its not a Stallone in the latest Rocky still going toe to toe with the baddies.

‘Bring Them Down’ is probably one of the best films I’ve ever seen. A brutal and believable examination of old family grudges in rural communities. Superbly shot. Sharp and to the point. As beautiful a piece of art as it is a moral reminder of how anger can lose everyone the battle.

I am a huge sucker for rural grudge match films and this hits all the notes. I've seen some critisicm about this film losing momentum, but fro my...
