Alex Winter’s Neo-Noir Satire Comes Up Short

While we wait for The Boys Season 4 to drop, Hughie star Jack Quaid is hyping it up, saying that it’s his favorite season yet. He also teased the ending and how “f–king nuts” it is.

During an interview with Collider, Quaid said: “They always find a way to somehow find new beats, and they never repeat themselves.”

He added: “It’s been really cool. This is my favorite season that we’ve ever done. The writers have topped themselves.”

The actor went on to talk about several moments that shocked him when he first got the scripts, especially the ending.

Quaid said: “There are certain things in this season when I read them that I audibly gasped. I really didn’t see a lot of the beats coming, and that’s very hard to do for a person who’s been on the show for four seasons.

He continued: “The writers just really outdid themselves. The ending is awesome. The ending is f–king nuts. It’s insane. I’m talking about The Boys, so I can swear.”

Showrunner Eric Kripke previously teased that this season, “miiiiiiight be the batshit craziest thing we’ve ever done? Like I truly can’t believe we got away with it.”

So, fans are in for a great time! I’m excited to see what this chapter of the story entails!

In season four, “The world is on the brink. Victoria Neuman is closer than ever to the Oval Office and under the muscly thumb of Homelander, who is consolidating his power.”

“Butcher, with only months to live, has lost Becca’s son as well as his job as The Boys’ leader. The rest of the team are fed up with his lies. With the stakes higher than ever, they have to find a way to work together and save the world before it’s too late.”

The series also stars Karl Urban, Antony Starr, Erin Moriarty, Jessie T. Usher, Laz Alonso, Chace Crawford, Tomer Capone, Karen Fukuhara, Colby Minifie, Claudia Doumit, Cameron Crovetti, Susan Heyward, Valorie Curry, and Jeffrey Dean Morgan.

The diabolical eight-episode season will drop three episodes on June 13, followed by a new episode each week, ending with the epic season finale on Thursday, July 18th.
