Wrestling legend Stone Cold Steve Austin shared his thoughts on wrestling one more match in WWE. Considered one of the Mount Rushmore figures in WWE history, Stone Cold carried the promotion during the Monday Night Wars against WCW. He led his promotion to victory in the war against WCW during the Attitude Era.

Stone Cold, who had a Hall of Fame career in the WWE, achieved many things, including winning the King of the Ring, Royal Rumble, and Main Event Wrestle Manias and several championships. Recently, WWE premiered a documentary episode on A&E about his last match. In the documentary, Stone Cold was asked whether he was interested in one more match in WWE.

Replying to this, the wrestler expressed his satisfaction with his career. He mentioned that he walked away from his achievements. He acknowledged that others have accomplished more and had longer careers. He concluded, stating that he had nothing left to prove.

When did Stone Cold have his last match in WWE?

Stone Cold Steve Austin had a legendary career in WWE. He began his career in 1995 in the promotion and quickly became one of the promotion’s top stars. Fans consider Steve Austin one of the greatest of all time, but his wrestling career in WWE lasted only nine years.

In 2004, he wrestled his last match against The Rock at WrestleMania 19 and announced his retirement afterwards. Over the years, he made several appearances on WWE programming until 2022, when he made a shocking decision to have one more match.

At WrestleMania 38, Steve Austin appeared in the main event on the Kevin Owens Show. The segment escalated when Owens challenged Austin to a match, and he agreed. This marked Stone Cold’s first match in a WWE ring in 18 years. Both wrestlers gave it their all, and Austin ultimately defeated Owens with a Stunner. This match was the last time fans saw Austin in action in a WWE ring.
