Bethenny Frankel shared a bizarre incident amid her divorce with Jason Hoppy, where her dog was allegedly “locked in the storage unit” and she couldn’t locate her.
The Real Housewives of New York alum also claimed at one point she had a “weird feeling” that she was “being recorded,” and she suggested she was “under siege.”
“There was another incident right around that same time where one of my assistants said we don’t know where the dog is. We don’t know where Cookie is,” recalled Bethenny on her Just B Divorced podcast, via @byewighellodrama on Instagram. “And we kept emailing and asking and we could not find Cookie.”
“Everyone was hysterical. And then they told me [she] had been locked in a storage unit,” she went on. “The apartment had a storage unit down the hall. And Cookie, with a food bowl and a water bowl, had been locked in the storage unit and was barking and the building was complaining.”
Bethenny said she couldn’t take the dog to her other residence, and her assistants would have to come to feed her.
“We sent so many emails and had to email my lawyer so many times … to get answers as to where Cookie was,” she said. “I obviously couldn’t tell my daughter … And then [we] were able to go pick Cookie up at a facility in New York.”
According to Bethenny, she would sometimes spend time with her daughter in an apartment that wasn’t “defined” as either hers or Jason’s.
At one point Bethenny alleged she had this “weird feeling” she was “being recorded” after asking her assistants how her ex knew where she was and what she was doing.
“I was like, ‘Oh wow. I’m under siege right now,’” said the star, who shared that she ended up putting a “padlock” on her bedroom door.
Last month, Bethenny revealed she would be taking some time away from her Just B Divorced podcast following the passing of her mom Bernadette Birk. She also removed some of the episodes she had uploaded.
