Whew! Joe Budden is not holding back! The rapper-turned-podcaster has finally shared his reaction to the horrific video of Diddy’s 2016 assault on Cassie… and Budden is “disgusted” to say the least.
Budden, a popular voice in the hip-hop community began his podcast by unpacking the clip which shows the business mogul kicking and dragging the singer in a hotel hallway. Budden said, “That sh*t was disgusting… what we all had to witness. That sh*t was almost unbearable to watch. I’m certain that was triggering for a lot of people that saw it.”
Speaking on Diddy’s apology that followed up days after the video was released by CNN, Budden continued saying, “I assumed that he would go and just hide somewhere. But why would you do that when you’re just a gluten for attention?” Budden went on to say, “So he pops right back out… talk about tone deaf, talk about inability to read the room. Where are the f—king publicists? Where’s anybody in this moment? He pops back out with this half-hearted bull—-t apology that was almost offensive, a slap in the face.” Before diving deeper into the situation, Budden took a moment to explain that he and his co-hosts held off on quickly speaking on this heavy topic as they wanted to devote more time to do their diligence before releasing this episode.
Now, while it’s interesting to hear Budden’s take on this topic, many on social media have quickly tired to bring up past abuse allegations that were made against Budden.
As previously reported, his ex-girlfriend Tahiry Jose previously detailed the alleged abuse she experienced at the hands of the rapper during their relationship. However, Joe Budden has always denied these big claims.

More On What Budden Had To Say About Diddy:
During the wide-ranging episode, Budden also talked about Diddy along with other people doing evil and hiding it behind the guise of Black Excellence. He also made note that the now-viral video “lends a lot of credence to anything horrific I’ve ever heard.”
As we previously reported, Diddy is currently facing a mountain of sexual assault allegations along with lawsuits. Although he was able to quickly settle the one that was filed against him by Cassie, he now has a few more to battle out in court.
What Has Cassie Said About The Apology:
Cassie has yet to publicly speak on this video release. However, her attorney did release a statement saying, “The gut-wrenching video has only further confirmed the disturbing and predatory behavior of Mr. Combs. Words cannot express the courage and fortitude that Ms. Ventura has shown in coming forward to bring this to light,” her attorney, Douglas H. Wigdor, said.
