Ariana Madix and Katie Maloney opened the doors to their new sandwich shop, Something About Her, on Wednesday, amid some technical issues — following months of delays and a soft opening earlier this month.
After droves of fans made their way to the Vanderpump Rules stars’ new business, which is located in West Hollywood, California, not far from TomTom and SUR Restaurant, new information about the venue was revealed as Ann Maddox‘s absence was pulled into question and a collaboration with Summer House cast members Kyle Cooke, 41, and Amanda Batula, 32, was confirmed.
In a video captured by the Vanderpumprulesparty Instagram page, Ariana announces the POS system (Point of Sale system) was having issues. “Our POS system has decided that today is the day that it wants to not work,” said Ariana to the crowd lined up outside.
Speaking of their experience on day one of Something About Her, Bravo Breaking News on Instagram shared that the POS system was working properly by the time they entered the restaurant, adding: “I got in line about 9:15am (45 minutes before opening) and was about 15th in line. They opened a little late (around 10:30) and rather than getting it to go, we waited for a table inside and sat down around 11:30.”
They also included a photo and screenshot of a video of the “MAJOR LINE” of people outside.
“Was Ann there?!” a fan asked the outlet during a Q&A later that day.
“ANN WAS NOWHERE TO BE FOUND!! I also didn’t see her in any of the content from the soft openings,” the fan page replied, also asking with a hashtag, “Where is Ann?”
As Pump Rules fans well know, Ann, the former assistant of Tom Sandoval, 41, began working at Something About Her amid season 11.
Another person wondered, “How many seats are inside?”
And, with a pic of Katie’s mom, Teri Maloney, the outlet revealed, “There are literally [seven] tables (six 2 tops [and] one 4 top) inside. It is TINY! But very cute and quaint. But there is a huge park nearby if you have to take it to go!”
“Is there alcohol on the menu? Outdoor seating?” someone else asked.
“They have [Loverboy] and [Avaline] wine (my two faves). No liquor! And no outdoor seating as of yet … Katie said they are working on that!” they confirmed.
Following the opening, Katie returned home, where she took to her Instagram Story with a message of thanks to her fans and supporters.
“My heart is so f*cking full. I cannot say enough thanks to everyone that came out to support us today and waited in line at [Something About Her]. It means the world to me and [Ariana Madix],” she captioned a sleepy pic of herself.
In another photo shared by Bravo Breaking News, several sandwiches were seen placed on top of Something About Her paper-lined trays, including The Drew, The Viola, and The Kate, each of which came with a pickle and grapes.
Also on opening day, Something About Her and Kyle and Amanda’s Loverboy announced an exciting partnership.
“There’s just Something About Her… drinking a Loverboy … [Something About Her] is officially open and you can pair your new favorite sandwich with [a Loverboy] spritz or tea! Cheers to that,” the companies wrote in the caption of their joint post, which featured an image of Ariana, Katie, Amanda, and Kyle seated in a corner booth at the restaurant.
The Vanderpump Rules season 11 reunion concludes next Tuesday, May 28, with part three at 8/7c on Bravo.
