As previously reported, on Thursday, May 9, Dorit Kemsley took to Instagram to address the ongoing speculation about her marriage to her husband, Paul ‘PK’ Kemsley.
In the post, the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star announced that she and PK were taking some time apart amid their ongoing marital woes.
On Instagram, Dorit wrote:
“We as a couple have been subject to a lot of specualtion about our marriage. We have had our struggles over the last few years and continue to work through them as two people who love each other and share two amazing children together.
To safe guard our deep friendship and maintain a harmonious environment for our children we have made the mutal and difficult decision to take some time apart and reevaluate our relationship while we prioritize our children.
We appreciate your love and support while we continue to do the work necessary throughout this journey.
With love, Dorit and PK.”
Dorit Kemsley and PK have been married since 2015 and share two children. They joined RHOBH in 2016 during season 7.
The estranged couple’s marital issues are set to play out during season 14 of RHOBH, which began production earlier this month.
Now, members of the RHOBH cast are publicly commenting on Dorit and PK’s split.
During a recent Amazon Live, Kyle Richards expressed that she feels for PK and Dorit amid their separation after nine years of marriage.
“I feel bad for them. Going through that is difficult enough without everybody wanting to know all the details.”
On the other hand, Sutton Stracke was “surprised” Dorit and PK went public with their separation and wished they kept it private for the sake of their small children.
“I haven’t reached out to Dorit yet, I need to. I just got the news. I need to do that, I’ve been a little busy today. But my heart goes out to them, they’ve got wee ones,” Sutton told TooFab last week.
“I don’t think shocked is the right word, I was surprised it went public. I just want their family to be kept private, it’s a private affair I think that that’s the most important thing. It’s really hard with things like this happen especially with the children involved.”
Garcelle Beauvais shared similar sentiments while chatting with Entertainment Tonight.
“I think it’s sad anytime a family breaks up. I’ve been through it,” Garcelle said. “Especially when you have little kids, nobody wants that. I just hope at the end everybody comes out OK and puts the kids first.”
