Fallen Idols, a four-part documentary exploring the “lives and controversies” of Nick and Aaron Carter, premieres on Investigation Discovery on Monday (May 27).

The docuseries delves into the Carter’s music careers, relationships and the “tragedies and headline-making events of the past few years” including sexual assault allegations against Nick brought on by three women: Ashley Repp, Shannon “Shay” Ruth and Melissa Schuman of the girl group Dream.

Repp, Ruth and Schuman appear in the documentary, which also chronicles the “intense backlash” they endured from speaking out and how their lives have been impacted.

Schuman first went public with rape allegations in 2017. She accuses Nick of raping her in 2003 and filed a lawsuit against him in 2023. Repp, who accuses Nick of sexually assaulting her in 2001, sued him for sexual battery in 2022. Ruth sued in 2022 accusing Nick of raping her when she was 15 years old.

The Backstreet Boys singer has denied sexual assault allegations and countersued Schuman and Ruth in 2023. According to The Wrap, Nick’s attorney’s posted documents in response to interviews featured in the docuseries via the website, FallenIdolsDocumentary.com.

The trailer features social media clips of Aaron backing his brother’s accusers, which resulted in a public feud between the brothers leading up to the 34-year-old singer’s death in 2022.

In addition to the three women, Fall Idols features interviews with an unnamed Carter family member, Nick’s ex-girlfriend Kaya Jones and Melanie Martin, Aaron’s former fiancé.

Where to Watch Fallen Idols: Nick and Aaron Carter

The four-part docuseries will air across two nights, starting on Monday, May 27, at 9 p.m. ET/PT on ID Network and streaming on Max. Part two premieres on Tuesday.

To stream Fallen Idols without cable, subscribe to Max or a streamer that carries the ID Network such as Philo and DirecTV.

How much does Max cost? Plans start at $9.99 a month or $99.99 a year. The subscription gives you streaming access to must-see movies, documentaries, TV series and sporting events.

Philo is one of the most affordable streaming options for cord cutters. It’s free for the first week and $25/month after the free trial ends.

The streaming plan includes DVR and 60+ channels: ID Network, Lifetime, LMN, Hallmark Channel, OWN, WEtv, A&E, CMT, AMC, History, HGTV, Paramount Network, TLC, Nickelodeon, VH1, MTV, Pop TV, Discovery Channel and more.

Want more channels? Join DirecTV Steam to watch Fallen Idols live, or on-demand. DirecTV Stream offers 90+ live, local and cable channels for less than $80 per month, a free trial for five days and cloud DVR.

Unfortunately, Fubo dropped ID from its channel lineup, but if you want more ways to watch the docuseries, Fallen Idols will be available on Prime Video.
