Lil Baby has attempted the popular “British Accent Challenge” that has been making the social media rounds, and his efforts were hilarious.
Taking to TikTok on Friday (May 24), the rapper decided to do the challenge “since I’m in the UK.” He attempted to pronounce words like “Twitter” and phrases like “Are you stupid?” with a British accent.
The comments on his video were nothing if not unforgiving. “Is a British accent in the room with us ??lmaooooo” wrote one fan, while another wrote, “He sounds like Sebastian from little mermaid,” echoing the sentiment that many shared about the true nature of his accent (that is, that it sounded Jamaican and not British).
Even Lil Wayne caught a stray in one of the comments. “lil baby speaks like lil Wayne as in not understanding what they say,” wrote another fan.

Lil Baby’s lighthearted fun has helped distract fans from the recent drama near his music video shoot that left three people injured by gunfire.
The shooting occurred on May 14 around a commercial strip in Atlanta where Lil Baby was filming a music video.
Atlanta police revealed shortly afterwards that three men were shot and suffered wounds to the chest, arm and neck but are expected to survive their injuries.
Police also confirmed that the injured men were not believed to have been on Lil Baby’s production team and their identities are currently not publicly available.
Subsequently, TMZ obtained audio footage of the 911 call made from the music video shoot, and it captures the chaotic scene after the shooting broke out and reveals one of the three victims was struck by a bullet in the neck.
According to the outlet, the shooting was the result of an altercation between “two unknown parties” as members of Lil Baby’s label Quality Control were filming the video.
The rapper himself was not not involved.
The two rival groups reportedly began firing shots after tensions escalated, resulting in bystanders being wounded.
When police arrived at the scene, paramedics were already treating two of the three gunshot victims.
All three victims, who are males, are expected to make a full recovery, while police seized several vehicles from the scene of the shooting as evidence.
